Hey, I just stumbled upon your blog via some of your Regis edits and they're absolutely amazing!! How did you manage to make the book-style regis? I'd love to play around with some scenes w/ that version. Also, if it's not too much to ask, would you happen to have a wallpaper version of regis in this post: /post/148941302495 ? It's an amazing edit and I'd love to make it my computer wallpaper... Thank you in advance!!

Thank you! Every version I did (and it’s lots of them) was by doing a mash up of ingame resources, mostly hair/clothing. It can be teasilly done with modding tools tbh.

And that picture you refer to is the full version, sadly, it’s not cropped. I usually make vertical panoramas and it is one. The might be a higher resolution on my hard drive, but with the same H|W.

Love, love love your Solas mod. Was curious how you got him to cast without a staff for one of Emmrich's staves. Because I adore it.

Hello. I've just linked non-staff mesh as a replacer to get rid of the glowing effect left by original staff. Basically it loads at the beginning of the level and stays there instead of floating awkwardly around nothing.

Not… quite? I’m not against them (as much as I love sideburns on men, he can survive without them perfectly), and I like Regis in various appearances. It’s just… In the front view he looks strange without them. In profile - gorgeous. So I can’t really decide xD

The new version Regis is elegant at all ... except for whiskers.

I dunno, ‘elegant’ part wasn’t intended tbh. Magic of the black color maybe? And I’ve started to actually like his sideburns while replaying DLC for the third time. Fluffy stuff. Plus, sadly, while he’s clean shaved, he looks too generic with hair mods on.

Thank you <3 I use mostly my own replacers, cuz in 2 of 3 cases I need to replace a female character with male character. As the result, male body model ends up very deformed on female skeleton, so it’s mostly all about finding the right angle on screenshots in the end.

Okay so you do a lot of modding. I've always wondered why dragon age inquisition was much harder to mod than, say, fallout 4, which doesn't even have a creation kit out yet--why is that?

Well… Not sayin I’m a pro and know everything about modding, but I’ll try to explain.

There is official modding tool for Dragon Age Origins (DAO Toolset) and, probably, Dragon Age 2 (never modded it myself, but, I think they share the same engine) made by developers from Bioware themselves and shared with audience. So, making mods for first two games is easy enough.Same situation with Bethesda’s titles (TES and Fallout) - official modding tools, Creation Kit and G.E.C.K. CK for FO4 is out already, but Bethesda used the same engine like… forever? So any game’s structure is pretty unchanged since, say, Falout 3 or Oblivion, and it’s very open. Modders just need to slightly change pre-CK tools to make ESP plugins, I guess (not sure about that tho, I don’t build ESPs myself). As for textures and meshes - just copy-and-paste thing, like it was, for examle, with DAO and DA2.

Dragon Age Inquisition, on the other hand, was made with Frostbite engine and developers themselves said, that they would really like to release any modding tools for the game, but there will be problems with copyright? If I recall correctly. I hate Frosty tbh. But it’s up to EA Games, I suppose. So: new engine with tricky structure + no developer’s tools available = hella hard to make mods.

If I’m wrong, I’m sure more competent people will be more than happy to correct me on this.
