On this day, the young deity found himself taking a leisurely stroll through a path in the forest, surrounded by boulders on all sides. It was the perfect place for an ambush and he hoped the hoard of nymphs that had been tailing him didn't show up. A few paces in, Narcissus noticed an odd rock, for it had a silver sheen to it. It was almost like a huge mirror. The boy became entranced, as he examined his reflection. Yet, at the corner of his eye he caught a strange movement. Glancing at the top corner of the mirror, Narcissus noticed a hideous looking creature with glowing eyes, wild hair, and cracked skin. His head whipped around quickly only to find an alluring woman with dark hair and radiant eyes.
"Oh-ah. Well you look nothing like your reflection! It startled me. But glad to see that you don't look like your reflection!" The boy laughed. "It was the thing nightmares are made of. Dry skin and ugh!" A small shiver made it's way down his spine as he waved the thought away with a dramatic swish of his hand.
Turning back to his reflection, he pushed a stray curl from his face before giving himself a smile. "By the way, I'm Narcissus. Who might you be?"
