Look, like I said, why write for people currently on a team together when you can write for a pairing that hasn’t been on the same team for four years and possibly have not publicly interacted in that time? I go where the angst is. And there’s nowhere with more angst than Carts/Richie. 

(One upside to this; maybe it’s put me in the right angsty mood to write that fic...)

ooooOOOOOoooh you are right they DID. Kelowna Rockets, 2007-2009! (Tyson played a couple of additional years after that, because he’s two years younger; Jamie didn’t get to major juniors until he was 18 because he is a precious late bloomer.)
