When it came to Witchers, Yennefer absolutely expected to be hated almost right off the bat. Not that the boys at Kaer Morhen hated her, but they definitely didn’t appreciate the way that she inserted herself in and bossed them around all the time. There might be respect between her and Vesemir, but when it came to Eskel, Coën and Lambert, arguing with them was second nature to her. Almost as much second nature as arguing with Dandelion.

“Trust me, I don’t want any trouble,” Yennefer offered up. “I’ve filled up on my fill of that for the next several months.”

          amusement colors his mannerisms, even if his expression itself does not change-- a smirk, pehaps, ever slight, pushes up cheeks, hidden beneath the expanse of facial hair covering his features. a shift in his posture, the way his body gets a bit of lean to it, weight moving from one leg to the other-- a man has tells, yes. not that he’d ever let on.

“mushroom foraging--” the old squid balks, taking in a breath deep, letting it out through flared nostrils, “i’ve gone herb foraging of plenty of times; perhaps the skills are not so dissimilar.”
