       Hunting   and   tracking   Maul   down   had   finally   brought   the   cyborg   face - to - face   with   the   former   sith   apprentice .   If   it   were   up   to   him ,   he   would   have   preferred   a     ᶠ ᴬ ᵀ ᴬ ᴸ    ᶠ ᴬ ᵀ ᴱ     for   the   zabrak .   But   it   wasn’t   his   decision .   He   was   under   his   masters’   orders   and   despite   what   opinion   he   held ,   he’d   fulfill   their   wishes   to   capture   Maul .   He   certainly   would   have   taken   pleasure   in   carrying   out   the   zabrak’s   death   if   given   the   chance  ---  not   an   easy   feat   to   achieve   ( The   general’s   P R I D E  would  never  allow  him  to  admit  such  aloud ) .   From   the   stories   he’s   heard ,   Maul   was   a   more - than - capable   fighter ,   so   he   was   careful   not   to   underestimate   him .

            He   needed   Maul   to   think   both   their   lives   were   on   the   line ,   rather   than   merely   his   own .   The   general’s   claws    F L A S H E D  ,     “    Your    life    will    end    here .    Surrender    and    I    may     EXECUTE    you    quickly .    ”     A   lie   of   course .   A   taunt .   Grievous   placed   a   bet   Maul   had   more   honor   than   surrender .
