"if you disappeared, a part of me would go with you." (from my ten, @oncomingx?)
( 🥀 ) her eyes seem to grow rounder, as her head tilts to the side. the words themselves pierce right through her center, and at their core, they help her understand something that she had struggled to articulate for so long: rose t.yler was always running away. from her youth, to her teenage years, & presumably, all the way to now. yet finally, standing in the time machine (a bloody mad thought when she compares the normality of a her surroundings like this to her bedroom, to her shop, to the place where she got fish & chips with mickey) she realizes something.
in this moment she is not running from, but towards. to what? she is unsure, but the bright light that she is approaching each day is something warm, & even better when running with a partner.
so a smile twists up on her lips, & it's not the usual smile that so many have called cheeky before. she's used to the wide grin bearing her teeth as a sign of life, warm rouge in her skin & a laugh that is nothing short of curative. this is not that kind of smile. she looks to @oncomingx with just the corners pulled up, a flush rushing in that stops short of a newborn flower, & a careful tenderness that is only afforded to him. ❝ well good thing 'm not going anywhere, right? ❞ she nudges his shoulder with hers, & only then does her full sized grin appear. ❝ 'm having too much fun to just up & leave. ❞ but he said, disappear, for that, she will ignore. ❝ & i promise i'll stay safe, when haven't i been? ❞
