It was just another late night out. Ronnie and Riley were seeing the sights in Treviso, carousing and having a good time while blowing off some of the tension roaring in their alpha blood.
“That one looks rather promising,” Riley growled in a low voice as he nodded across the street towards a young Antivan omega. She stared back at them with a coy smile, but Ronnie shook his head as he chuckled in response.
“Too easy. I like something with a little more…chase.” His time in the Warden's had tempered him far more than his wild Shadow Dragon cousin. Though he wouldn't deny he hoped to find his own fun as the sun sank low over the horizon.
“Suit yourself,” Riley shrugged with a wide grin. He took one step forward to chase after his prey, but froze suddenly as his eyes went wide and he inhaled sharply as if he was sniffing for something.
Ronnie opened his mouth to ask what had struck his cousin so fiercely, when the sweet scent hit him. He could almost taste the warm bread and rosemary, reminding him of the sensation coming home. It left him feeling like he had been punched in the chest. Every nerve in him screamed as he turned his head to stare at his cousin who mirrored his disbelieving look. A singular thought shared in their head as they both growled low in a dangerous tone.
“Mine.”
