Sublime y retorcido: Sui géneris
“We don’t see the immigrants picking our fruit, we don’t see the conditions that animals are kept in and we don’t get to see how they’re killed,” says Herbert. “We’re just kept entirely separate from the consequences of our actions and that’s an incredibly dangerous position for us to be in.”
Matthew Herbert's One Pig project - Features - Music - The Independent
ONE PIG is the story of one anonymous farm animal's life, from birth to plate. Here Matthew Herbert tells the extraordinary story of how he made this record, and talks through each of the tracks.
Matthew Herbert - August 2010 I was recently introduced to this concept album - one that follows a pig through its journey from birth to the table. This track in particular, the slaughterhouse scene, is so disturbing and horrific that I couldn't not share. Prepare to become either vegans or vegetarians after listening to this.
