Responsive Architecture - Developing for One Web.
Responsive web design is a transition that has been seen due to the demand and sheer volume of hand held devices which in turn has developed a new trend of consumption, were it is suggested “Mobile browsing is expected to outpace desktop-based access within three to five years” (http://alistapart.com) .
As a media literate community have engaged with this development of technology the demand for on the go content this has paralleled the developed of different viewing platforms, resolutions and layouts.
Where once designers stood for inconsistent window widths, screen resolutions, standard web conventions for user interaction. We have seen the development of a number of devices and browsers then ever before. The development of ‘One Web’ has seen a shift in the way we view Web Applications and their importance for ones presence and brand identity.
What is One web? Essentially it is a development of one interface that it build on a flexible design. This application provides no assumptions for the browser window and can adapt to different orientations.
