Sorry this one’s a little late! I was out and about today. Anywho~

An interesting thing that I learned when kicking ideas around for this one was that the sirens were once Persephone’s handmaidens, given bird bodies by Demeter to aid in the search for her daughter...who then apparently gave up and went to go lure men to their deaths on an island instead. :V I know sirens are always depicted as mermaid like creatures but I kinda wanted to call back to the bird body thing with this piece. Also decided heck why not make your lovely catte a siren himself? So here we are.

9. How did your character come to posess their first weapon?

FFXIV asks

“My first weapon?---Ah, I suppose that would’ve been my first bow! ‘Twas a small, but sturdy thing, perfect for a youth like I was at the time, but alas, too short for me to use in adulthood.”

The Elezen mused for a moment, eyes wandering upwards in thought.

“‘Twas given to me...by one of the teachers, during my time of training with the Knights. I was never one for wielding a sword, and he saw it clearly...but my eyesight and focus were keener than most. At least...that is what he told me, whilst handing me the bow. I certainly found myself more natural with it, than swinging a weapon around at melee range. Despite me not finishing my training, I am still grateful for the lessons he taught me.”

Where does Rivienne sit when it comes to laws and following them? Does she follow the law to the letter, follow them loosely or disregard them entirely?

Back in the earlier years of playing, this is during ARR, Rivienne followed the law, because she was working with the Adder in secret, though her hands were awfully stained scarlet and she was not a pristine woman. Under the oath she made, she worked for the law, doing unlawful things.

Due to unfortunate events, she does not place too much faith in the law. She knows it is there, though it is abused and bent to fit the selfish needs, and desires, of the individual that is to enforce it. 

It is not to say that she does not follow the law, in fact, she acknowledges the law; Rivienne has a certain pact that as long as she does not interfere with the business of the Adder, they shall leave her be. And this has continued to be the case for years.  

In other city-states? She has to adhere to their laws, and force to herself to follow, regardless of what she feels.

GHOSTS - Vulkan Eldaeddur

Day 20 is full of spooooky ghost arms! What’s spookier than a bunch of ghost arms coming out to grab you with their cold, clammy ghost hands?! >:O Actually, probably quite a bit. But still. Spooky! *wiggles fingers all spooky like* This one was a lot of fun to do. Not often do I get to draw hyurs! :D
