He considered trying to lie again, but Grantaire was right. It would never work. Instead he sighed, handing over the bottle. “Careful with that. It wasn’t cheap. Not the most expensive, of course, but still not cheap.”
( @onebelief liked the permanent starter call for a starter and I’m on mobile so I can’t link it. )
Harry, being a proud British subject, quite enjoyed queuing usually. However, today he was both irritated and impatient. He had started his day with his car giving out, his mobile breaking and he spilled the Guv’s coffee onto the floor. So here he was, waiting in like at the bloody stupid café to buy his DCI another bloody stupid coffee because if he looked at the office coffee machine one more time he swore he would break it out of anger.
He’d just moved up in the line when he bumped into someone trying to pass through to the other side. “Sorry,” He said quickly, his manners not lost even in his anger. “I think I’m in your way.”

The hand on his cheek surprised the trickster, the tenderness of the touch confused him slightly... He was not at all that close to the man before him, yet Grantaire was acting in a way that definitely suggested otherwise.
“ ...Fine. “ He sighed, leaning forward to press his lips against the other’s. Just going with it might be the best way to make this bemusing encounter end. The kiss was gentle but quick, and within a second Loki was pulling away again.

Courfeyrac hissed quietly, letting Grantaire take over for him. “A man who thought yelling slurs at a woman in a hijab was a fine thing to do. I loudly disagreed. His fists argued back.”

“Your father is an idiot,” Sarah murmured, looking over at him. But that wasn’t really the point. “I know what Enjolras told you seems crazy, but you have to believe us.” And hopefully not tell the cops.
“That isn’t water in that bottle, is it.”
Courfeyrac glanced his way, the grip on his bottle tightening. “I don’t know what you mean, R.”
