Okay, folks, time for that post of many pictures I was talking about! What pictures, you ask? Why, those of all of my relevant original equines, including Boltsinger himself!
This guy is Boltsinger, my personal pony and the source of this blog! Originally, I created him to be based on everything I don’t like about myself. Boy, did THAT change! I think I like him better than I like me these days! He’s the “star” of my stories, alongside the actual main cast of the show. But he didn’t come into this world alone! Next we have...
Brightling! Big brother to Boltsinger and a Pegasus with extreme acrophobia. As with any of these characters, you’ll find out all about him if you read my work. He’s a bit of a grump sometimes, but his mind is always brimming with the brightest ideas out there! He’s based on my own real older brother, and his relationship with Bolt at the start is... roughly the same as mine is with his human counterpart. A lot of his grumpiness, though, comes from our next pony...
Meet Dimming Sparks, or “Sparks”, as she likes to be called. She’s Brightling’s wife, and our first major antagonist! She’s a bit of a grump as well, and for a good reason that you’ll learn over the course of my stories. With a talent for manipulation, she’s unusually fearsome for a Unicorn without many spells. Like Brightling is based on my brother, Sparks here is based off of my own sister-in-law, who is just as grumpy and unfriendly.
From here, it’s gonna go into much deeper spoiler territory, as it gets to the end of my season 2, so if you don’t wanna know about these last ponies, turn back now!
The first of them is someone that took an entire season to build up to, and his introduction is the finale of season 2!
This little colt is named Nova! Why is he named Nova? You’ll have to read up on that fact. He’s the first male Alicorn, and is known for some pretty epic meltdowns if he’s provoked. He tries to be a good boy, but that gets difficult. Especially when you have a natural affinity for redirecting magic of all kinds to suit your purposes!
Finally, we have a pony who is still in the middle of his tale. Someone from Bolt’s past, and is finding his way towards his future.
This silver-eyed stallion is named Paradigm. Trottingham-born, and ambitious like you wouldn’t believe! You’ll meet him in the first few chapters of season 3, but that’s not the last you’ll see of him! If you couldn’t tell by his Cutie Mark, he’s had a bit of an electrifying encounter with our central stallion, and that may or may not have affected just how his talents work. Keep reading to see where his story goes!
There’s lots more where that came from on the character front, but they won’t be introduced for a VERY long time. Until then, I hope you enjoy what I’ve got, and what’s to come!
