Because every wedding needs an afterparty!

As a bit of a celebration, I asked some of the fantastic artists I’ve met in my time on this blog to draw some ponies for my party. I really love how this all came together. A night I’m sure they’ll all remember for a long long time.

I try to avoid getting sappy on this blog, but I’m only gonna hit 1000 once, so sappy it is.

When I started this blog, I was really just drawing for myself and a couple of friends. I had never been particularly artsy (as the early drawings attest). So I was surprised and happy when I hit even 20 followers. To be making twenty people smile was worthwhile. Even one extra smile in the world is valuable.

Then after many months, my art improved and I hit 100. And that was a big achivement for me. Now to be at 1000? This is the goal I never really imagined myself reaching. This blog is really precious to me, and I’m so glad so many of you have come to enjoy these soft smiley pony comics with me.

Let the fluff roll on.

So, I have a LOT of images relevant to this little pony’s story that I may yet share with everyone, but there’s a few things I need to say and do first.

First and foremost, I am not a very good artist (although I’m improving all the time!). As such, you’ll notice that pretty much any pony image I post is a trace over a base. I did not create these bases, nor will I ever claim ownership. Pretty sure you can find 100% of them on DeviantArt.

From there, there’s the things I need to do. My first of these supposed images is going to include pretty much every relevant original character I’ve got at the moment. I’d like to post them in some kind of chronological order, but I sorta don’t have one of them ready yet. Gotta figure out his Cutie Mark before I can be comfortable making a picture of him. Once we have that, you can expect some actual stuff to be posted here! Until then, here’s something to show you just about what you may expect.

Yes, that is Scootaloo. And yes, she is flying. Spoiler alert, there will be Scootalove if you choose to read them things I did. Anyway, this was from before a friend of mine taught me the fine art of using gradients, so the eyes are a little one-dimensional. I don’t have much that I’ve done entirely on my own, but I’ll share what I have and what I eventually create! This includes any art that’s 100% me should the time come!
