Zayn: Coping

He stared at the painting and smiled softly. You were his everything and he had made the mistake of letting tour and fame ripping between you both. He regretted everything that went down that night. Strings of curse words, slammed doors, but what broke it off was when he saw the first tear roll down your cheek. "I'll be out tomorrow Zayn." Mentally he didn't think you'd do it but when he found himself in an empty apartment when he came home the next day he knew he had messed up. He let tears slip as his smile faltered. "I'm so sorry (Y/N)..." he whispered to the painting. All over a rumor about you being a gold-digger....his ego got the best of him and he for some reason believed it. He heard a door shut and a bag fall along with keys. "One more chance Zayn." A/N: Alrighty so I see how you liked the "series" so I decided let's make at least ONE happy ending right? Haha. Hi Audrey, so so so sorry this took a long time. These past few weeks have been hectic for me. I hope you like this one! Please let me know what you think.___________________________________________________________

You got home from grocery shopping. You have been doing a lot of that lately because the boys had a break from touring and recording. So they have been over a lot lately. They were always hungry. Especially Niall. As you brought in a few bags and set them on the counter you call out for Harry. You look in the living room, bedroom and bathroom. He is nowhere to be found. You go outside and before you can call for Harry you all of a sudden get soaking wet. You look at Harry with a shocked look on your face. “Oh! I am so sorry Audrey. I thought you were one of boys,” Harry says. You realized what was going on. There were like 2 buckets filled with water balloons. You knew Harry had a childlike sense about him. He was always doing little pranks. You could take a joke though. You looked up at him with a smile. “It’s ok Harry. It’s my turn now,” you tell him with a smirk on your face. You go to one of the buckets and pick it up. He quickly realized what you are up to. Even though he loved you and didn’t want you to get hurt he was very competitive. He would let you just win because your beautiful brown eyes and blonde hair mesmerized him. You two both began to throw water balloons at each other. Running from the back yard to the front. Just back and forth. After about half an hour of hiding from each other and throwing water balloons at each other you two surrender. The boys also showed up, just in time. All the balloons are used. After a while of drying off and talking to the boys you asked them to help bring in the groceries since they ate most of them. They all helped carry in the bags and set them on the counter while you put the groceries away. But before you could finish, they were all making food for themselves. You remember there are water balloons left over from the last water balloon fight. You go upstairs to find the rest of the water balloons. Once you found them you went into the bathroom. After about 30 minutes you manage to fill them up. You walked down the stairs making sure not to attract any attention from the boys. You got to the front door and walked around the house to the back. After waiting a few minutes you yell out Harrys name. A few seconds later he opens the back door and walks outside. When you see him you throw a water balloon at Harry making his dry clothes now wet. “Audrey, I just got dry,” he said in an annoyed tone. “I’m sorry Harry, it was just a joke,” you tell him. While walking pass you he gives you a smirk. You don’t turn around but after a few seconds you hear a giggle and all of sudden you are sprayed by very cold water. You turn around and see Harry with a hose laughing at you. You two start to have a water fight. Harry and you are soaking. It’s about 30 minutes of running around the yard throwing water balloons at each other. Harry runs towards you with his wet body, he puts his arms around you waist and picks you up. After a few spins you put your hands around his neck while he still holds you. You lean in for a kiss. Your lips and his touch, they are cold but you don’t care. You two walk into the house and the boys give you a funny look. “We got a little wet,” Harry says with a chuckle. The both of you go upstairs. “We need to get you into some dry clothes Audrey. I don’t want you to get sick,” Harry tells you. He lets you undress in his room and you hear a door open behind you. You turn around and see Harry with one hand over his eyes and a robe in the other. “It’s ok Harry you can come in,” you tell him. e hanHa He hands you the robe in exchange for your wet clothes. After he puts his and your clothes in the dryer he comes back into the room with a towel around his waist. He lays down on the bed and says “Audrey come lay with me.” You lay beside him and nuzzle up to him. He pulls the blanket over you two and places a light kiss on your forehead. You two eventually fall asleep in each other’s arms.

Harry has been gone for a few months on tour and it’s been hard. He was having a show a couple hours away from where you live tonight. You were upset because you couldn’t go the show and he couldn’t come to see you. You started dating before the tour and so you had some time together without anything getting in the way. He usually calls you after each show to tell you about it. To tell you how many times he fell, all his knock knock jokes, Niall and Liams dancing, things that got thrown up on stage and just anything that made him laugh. The way he described it to you made it feel like you were back stage watching it happen. You have been to a few shows before. He didn’t call at the usual time and this happened sometimes. But about 20 minutes after the usual time your phone goes off. You look at it and Harry is requesting a face time call. Of course you accept it. “Hi love, sorry I didn’t call. I was trying to find a quiet place so I could face time. I haven’t seen your smile in a long time and I miss you so much,” he says. You start to smile and put your hand on your cheek to cover the fact that you are blushing. You start to tear up. Just a little and you tried to smile but Harry could tell something was wrong. “What’s wrong Jenny,” he asked you with a concerned tone. You wiped your tears and said “I just miss you, that’s all. I have been lonely and haven’t been able to sleep.” Harrys smile turns into a sad face. He looked down for a few seconds and took a deep breath. “I know love. I haven’t been able to sleep either. Even though I am having a lot of fun on tour I wish you could be here,” he tells you. “I wish I could to,” you tell him with tears slowly running down your face still. “I will be able to see you soon. I can’t wait to hold you,” he tells you. After a few minutes of him trying to cheer you up with funny faces he starts showing you around the dressing room. He is being his usual silly self and pointing out the obvious. You were so happy that you could see Harry in these situations. His fans don’t get this kind of thing with him. And after about a few minutes of silence you notice Harry walking somewhere. “Where are you going Harry,” you asked him. He didn’t answer. Eventually you couldn’t see Harry, you saw a girl sitting down on the phone. You looked real hard at what was on the screen. Harry didn’t say anything but then you slowly realize what you saw. It was you. You looked across the room and Harry was standing there. You couldn’t believe he was here. You immediately jumped up and ran to Harry. You wrapped your arms around his neck and he picked you up wrapping your legs around his waist. He kisses you for the first time in months. It felt like the first time he did. He walked up the stairs still holding you. He walked into your bedroom and laid you down on the bed and you started making out. After a few minutes he rolled on the other side of you. You rest your face on his chest and put your arm around his stomach. You two just laid there awhile in silence. You were still in shock that he was here. “Jenny, I have been thinking. I can’t stand being away from you so often. Would you like to go on the rest of the American tour with me,” he says in a raspy voice. You look up at him. “Are you serious,” you asked him. “Yes, I am serious. It would be a lot of fun and we could do this every night,” he tells you. “I would love to,” you answer his question. He gets up quickly and says “If you go with me, it has to be tonight.” “Tonight,” you ask. “Yes. It has to be tonight,” he says. “Ok, I guess I could. It’s a bit sudden but I can do it,” you tell him. “I will help you pack then,” he says while getting off the bed. You grab your suitcase out of the closest while Harry is just grabbing clothes. You look at Harry and start laughing at how much of a hurry he is in. He notices you laughing and stops. “What,” he asks. “Nothing, I just think you are a little too excited,” you tell him. When you two are done packing you make sure the house is ready to be left. When you are done he carries your suitcase in one hand and holds your hand in the other. He puts your suitcase in the back and helps you in the front seat. He gives you a kiss, looks at you and smiles. He gives you another kiss before going to the driver side. The two hour car ride is just spent with him telling you all about what you two are going to be doing on tour and him telling you about his favorite cities.

One direction was going to be performing in New Zealand. You were bummed because you weren’t going but maybe you could see them outside the hotel. This morning you decided to go for a walk. It was pretty cold outside so you decided to dress in leggings, yoga pants, long sleeve, sweater, a wind breaker, two pairs of socks and some tennis shoes. You put your hair in a ponytail and put on a headband that would cover your ears. About 20 minutes into your walk you hear footsteps behind. You turn around and saw a guy running behind you. still facing him you watch as he gets closer. You didn’t recognize him at first but when he got a few feet away, you noticed it was a Harry Styles. You couldn’t believe it that you suddenly couldn’t move from shock. He runs by you giving you a smile and a wink. Harry stops running and does a double take. He quickly runs back over to you. He is standing in front of you and looks you in the eyes puts his hand on your shoulder and says “Hi love. Are you okay you?” You didn’t say anything back you are just looking at them with a dumb smile on your face. “Did you hear me,” he asked. After minute you finally were able to spit some words out. “Hi Harry, I’m okay. I love you and you are so handsome,” you say really fast. A smile forms on his face and he begins to chuckle. “Did I really just say that,” you said under your breath realizing what just came out of your mouth. “Yes you did and it’s okay,” he tells you. “I’m sorry. I just can’t believe you’re standing in front of me I wasn’t expecting it,” you tell him. “Don’t be sorry, It’s really okay,” Harry says. “Okay. I’m still a little embarrassed,” you say back. “Are you going to concert tonight,” he asks. “No. But I really wanted to,” you answer with a sad look on your face. “What’s your name,” he asked. “Annie,” you say. “Come by the arena and tell them your name. I will have a ticket for you at the door,” he says. “Are you serious? Why would you do that? I am just random girl,” you say with a shocked expression. “Well we always keep a few open seats in case we meet people before the show that don’t have a ticket,” he answers. “Wow, thank you so much,” you told him. “No problem love, now I’m going to go back to my run. I will hopefully see you at the show,” he says as he turns around. You say to yourself “I am so glad I went on a walk today.” Harry turns around and gives you smile. You spent the whole day so happy and just replaying the conversation between Harry and you in your head. About 2 hours before the concert you started getting ready. There is no point in getting there super early because he already had a seat picked you thought to yourself. You decided to wear dark washed skinny jeans, a light bluish green v neck and a dark grey light weight cardigan that you could take off if it got too hot. After you got dressed you went into the bathroom. Running a comb through your wet hair and letting it air dry. After getting ready you went to your kitchen to eat something really quick so you wouldn’t be hungry during the show. It was about 30 minutes before the show and you did a quick makeup check. The arena was only about 10 minutes away so it would give you some time to hang outside and see the crowd before you go to go inside. When you got there you saw a pretty big crowd and girls screaming. When you got to the front the people at the door asked for your ticket. You told them “I don’t have a ticket but Harry said my name would be on the list. My name is Annie.” You felt a little nervous and were hoping he actually put your name on the list. After a few minutes of them rustling through papers they looked at you and said “Ah yes, Annie. Your name is on the list. We will get someone to escort you to your seat.” They gave you ticket just in case of any mishaps. You looked at the ticket and had to look at it a few times before you realized it was a seat for the front row. You were so happy. After you got to your seat and situated the show began. You could see Harry looking through the crowd looking for something. It took him a few times before he picked you out of the audience. He looked you and smiled. He mouthed “I am so glad you made it,” to you with a smile. “Thank you so much,” you mouth back. It was the last song of the concert and Harry was standing in front of you the whole time. He reached to you with something in his hand. You saw it was a folded piece of paper. You grabbed it and smiled at him. The couple girls around you gave you a dirty look of jealousy. You opened the paper and it read “Meet me at the back door of the arena after the show. I will be there about 20 minutes after we are done. Here is my number if you get lost or confused.” You had to read it a few times just to grasp the fact that Harry gave you his number. You went around back and sat down after about 15 minutes of waiting. You couldn’t believe Harry wanted to meet you out of all girls. You heard a door open and your head jerked towards the noise. It was Harry and a body guard. “Hey Annie. I am glad you made it. The body guard is just here for precautions so don’t mind him,” he tells you. “That’s ok, I am just glad to be in this situation,” you tell him with a smile.

You have known Liam for a awhile. A little over a year before the x factor. You two were always close as friends. But lately you have been aquiring some feelings for him. You were really worried to tell him because you were afraid that he may think you want to be with him for his fame. His fame was escalading and you wanted him to realize you love him for Liam, the boy you knew before all this happened. You havent seen him once during the tour. He was coming home for a few months and you two were excited to spend some time together while he is on break. Your phone went off around 11pm and it was a text from Liam. You were so excited even before you thought of opening the text. “Sarah, meet me at the park in 10 minutes,” the text read. You just sat there for a few minutes in your bed smiling and rereading the text. You got out of bed, put on some jeans and a hoodie. You quietly walked down stairs and grabbed your shoes while walking out the front door making sure not to wake anyone. This park Liam wanted you two to meet at was half way between Liam and your house. Before he left to make this career you two would always spend time there. It was where you told him everything. Thats how you got so close. That year before he left you spent almost every day at that park. It was the park you two told eachother about your first kiss, where you fell out of a tree and fractured your ankle, where you told him about your first crush and how he broke your heart, where you told him all the good stories and the bad ones, where you told him everything. This park has a lot of memories. When you got to there you called out for Liam quietly. Liam came up behind you. “Its been too long Sarah. I can’t believe we are here,” he said quietly. “Oh, Liam you scared me,” you said while turning around. He was standing there with his hands in his pockets and smiling towards you. Imediatly the first thing you two did was hug. It has been so long with out contact. It felt so unreal but all he could do was hug tighter. “I missed you so much Sarah. I thought about you alot while I was gone,” he whispered in your ear while kissing your cheek. He always greated you that way so you didnt think anything of it. But since you had feelings for him you couldnt help but get butterflies. After that you two spent every night there. You met at the same time everyday. You two didnt even need to remind eachother. You two talked about everything. He told you about the tour and all that happened. You told him all the boring stories of how you spent your summer, a few good ones. Even though you thought they were uninteresting, he was so intuned. He focused on you while talking. After about a month of this happening you realized how strong these feelings are. Tonight you wanted to tell Liam how you felt. When you two got to the park, Liam walked kind of fast toward you. “Sarah, I need to tell you something,” Liam told you with a serious look on your face. “No Liam, I need to tell you something,” you replied. You starting talking. “Liam, over the past few weeks I have,” Liam interupted you with a kiss. Afterwards you just looked at him and took a few steps back. You started breathing really heavily and pacing in a circle. “Sarah, are you ok,” he asked you. You were too overwhelmed to even comprehend what he was saying. He took you by the shoulders and just helped you calm down. You just looked at him in the eyes and studied his face, of what you could see. There wasnt much light in the park considering it was dark. Getting on your tippy toes and taking Liams face in your hands you kissed him back. You could feel him smiling against your lips. “I like you Sarah and I really want you to know that being away has killed me,” Liam told you after you pulled away. A minute of silence passed. “Sarah, did you hear what I said,” he asked you. You finally looked at him with a sparkle in your eyes. “I did hear you Liam. And I want you to know that I feel the same. I have felt this way for awhile. When you were gone it was hard and in this past month my feelings became stronger,” you said to him. You two decided to take it slow. It eventually became Valentines Day. You had a card, his favorite candy and a bracelet he has talked about getting. When you got to the park at the usual time Liam wasnt there. You called his name. He didnt answer. You sat at the park bench for about 30 munutes. You got upset and walked home. You wondered what happened. You started thinking about if he changed his mind about how he felt about you. About an hour after you got home you heard a knock on you bedroom window. You walked slowly towards the window and pulled back the curtain. It was Liam. You were really surprised. You pulled the curtain back and walked to your bed. You heard another knock. You walked back to the window pulling the curtain. You saw Liam looking at you with puppy dog eyes and a pouty lip. You just stared at him through the glass with an eyebrow raised for a good minute. You decided to opened the window and Liam greeted you with a smile while handing you a boquet of roses. “Where were you Liam, I thought we were meeting at the park like every night,” you asked him and not taking the flowers. He crawled through the window into your bedroom while you backed up. He put the roses on you desk and kissed you. You pulled back. You rested your chin on his chest feeling it raise from his heavy breathing. He had his hands around your waist looking down at you. “I am so sorry for not meeting you at the park Sarah. I woke my parents up and I couldnt leave,” he told you. “Its ok, I just am happy you are here now,” you told him. He kissed your cheek and gave you a smile. “Sarah, tonight didnt go as planned but that doesnt change how I feel about you. I really want to ask you something,” Liam said to you. You didnt say anything, you just looked up at Liam waiting for him to continue. “I was wondering if you would do me the honor of being my girlfriend,” he asked you. You pulled away and smiled so hard. You just stood there happy and speechless. “So I am guessing that is a yes,” he asked you. You nodded your head and ran towards him. You wrapped your hands around his neck and gave him a light kiss. He picked you up and carried you to your bed. He layed you down while still kissing. After a few minutes he rolled on the other side of the you. Eventually you both became really tired. He was holding you in his arms. You felt so safe and never wanted this to end. You thought about him leaving again and how hard it would be. He just asked you to be his girlfriend and he has to leave soon for another tour. “Would you like to join me on this next tour for a little while,” he whispered to you half asleep. You looked at him and smiled. You thought to your self about it. He fell asleep before you could answer. You were so happy he asked you. You gave him a kiss on the cheek and nuzzled closer into his chest and eventually fell asleep to the sound of his quiet snoring that was so calming. You were his girlfriend and now going on tour with him, you couldnt wait what he was going to show you while traveling the world.
