It was pretty silent out tonight. Once in awhile Shizuka found herself patrolling the dark streets not for flesh but for a sense of peace and quiet. The only rays of light that pierced the shadowy veil over the city were distant twinkling lights of apartment blocks and street lamps. The park however was all but dark.
The hood of her coat was pulled over her head her face masked away from any possible passerby. Finally when walking drew on she found refuge under on of the old gazebo's sitting under it to rest.
There would not be much point in sitting on the benches tonight for the sake of watching the stars.. the light pollution from the city had blocked out the night sky in a strange yellow have that was almost like a circle surrounding the horizon.
Suddenly her nose twitched for a moment as she turned around. She couldn't see a figure just yet but it was clear to her that someone else was present.
"So I guess I'm not the only one who thought coming out tonight was a good idea..."
"I'm surprised you're not dead yet considerin' the attention you've brought upon yourself."

If he was being honest, Levi really wasn't expecting to get an answer any time soon from Mr. Four Eyes. The guy didn't seem up for talking all that much last night, and when he saw that he had left before six, Levi figured that trying to talk to him again was a lost cause. So when he came back from getting a drink, the man's eyebrows shot up in surprise. But his hopes were somewhat crushed when he saw the ID name.
Eyepatch... Kaneki Ken, the college student who is able to drink a shit load of coffee.
Levi was able to get a preview of the message that Kaneki had sent him, and thought that it was a harmless little hello.
"Levi…..this is Kaneki."
Innocent enough. But why all the periods...? Shrugging, Levi slid his phone open, entering his passcode, and poised his fingers to start typing out his own reply before his blood began to feel like it had frozen over.
"Oh my fucking God," He stated in repugnance, using a hand to clamp over his mouth. "Oh my god," He repeated, voice just as horrified. "Oh, what the fuck..."
The message above Kaneki's... was the exact same message he had sent to that guy from last night-- or thought he sent, anyway.
"Haaaaaahhh," Levi hissed, hands starting to shake as he quickly slammed the sleep button on his phone. "It's.. It's probably best if I just don't reply..." But the man found himself unable to even set down his phone, so he opened it back up to his messages, and starting typing out a reply.
