Illustrating this took some time! The stunning Williamsburg Saving Bank was built just before the Great Depression in 1929 and remained one of very few skyscrapers in Brooklyn until the recent boom. It's now called One Hanson Place and was redeveloped into.. luxury condos! 🥁 Oh and the cab is 1926 Checker! It's one of around 200 illustrations, which will make it to my NYC book I'm working on.⁣

Opposite the Barclays Center in Brooklyn’s Atlantic Avenue, stands this iconic structure. The Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower has been around since 1929 and was once the tallest building in the borough.
