Mi papá is mexican. The issue a lot of mexicans have with people who aren't mexican wearing sugar skulls is because they do it to be edgy, not as a tribute to someone who is dead or to celebrate dia de los muertos. That's where the appropriation comes in.

I suspect this may be one of those things that is offensive to some Mexicans, but not so much to others, much as dreads on white people offends some black people and not others.

But yeah, I think I'll go ahead and avoid reblogging similar pictures in the future unless the person says in the picture post that they're at least part Mexican.

If you want pencils to range from 4h through 4b, I think meijer has some options there. (need to restock on some art equipment too x___x) Make sure to read the art pencil cases to see what's in the package

oh my god, i didn't even check the art section when i was at meijer (i got my sketchbook in the back to school stuff :3). i'm planning on going back and getting a small sketchbook for all of my drawspace/practice stuff, anyway, so i'll check out pencils while i'm there :333 any colored pencil brand recommendations?

TBH seb was the whole reason I watched it (I didn't even know who he was oops) and after I was just 'meh' so I stopped watching and psych is great to watch while watching other things bc it's just FUNNY it breaks up the intensity of other shows

i think i might end up watching psych inbetween whatever i choose next, then! (that'll help, too, 'cause i'm easily overwhelmed by intense scifi shows sometimes)

ohhh, i might do that. although all i really have to trace onto is like, notebook paper. but since it's just to see how i do with coloring, it might still be okay.

also, where so you get pencils?? i feel like i should pick up some better art equipment, but pencils especially because all i have are 2hb pencils and some random mechanical pencils. :3

there are so many shows on the list the ended abruptly and i'm nervous about watching them bc i hate not having proper endings (which is why i never finished flashforward or kyle xy bc i'd rather abandon it than have a cliffhanger). i've wanted to watch the 4400 for agessss.
