To be perfectly honest, Alejandro wasn’t the kind of man who kept his money in banks. While he understood their purpose, one with a lifespan such as his, knew better than to trust anyone (other than himself) with any personal assets. However, he did occasionally frequent them - required by his current employer to drop off and retrieve funds whenever requested. On this particular day, he’d just finished depositing a rather large sum and was thanking the teller for his assistance when shots rang out from the doorway...and the word seemed to momentarily slow down. There were screams, and people ducking for cover, but Alejandro stayed still, staring curiously at the one causing the commotion. A man who was more than what he seemed...the pesanta could feel it.
And that was when the fear struck him, shivering though his body like a living thing. Not his fear...but that of the humans cowering on the ground...it was the kind of rush he hadn’t felt in decades...and Alejandro simply stood there...and savored it. In general it wasn’t possible to feed properly in this form...but the way the terror radiated off of those scattered around him made it far easier. He’d experienced the same during various natural disasters...or during wars. But this...this was different. It was a situation controlled by the man with the gun...a situation easily replicated. To think...if he were in his true form, this amount of fear could keep him satiated for a month or more. As he mulled over the idea...the possibilities...Alejandro stayed standing...and continued to stare at the one causing the chaos, wondering if the man could sense that he wasn’t human either.
