About Keith being a guardian of fire when his firefighter dad may have died in an actual fire -- as cruel as that intent is, I kinda also see it as a positive outlook in that now being a guardian gives him the ability to 'control' what he has always feared/hated. It's no longer an enemy but an ally. Kind of like how Pidge is the guardian of the forest but she hates nature lol (until the Olkari ep).
That’s a nice headcanon! This is still all conjecture of course (until we see what’s said in that interview on Monday) and idk how far ahead they had planned Keith’s backstory and his dad’s, but that’s certainly a kind of poetic way to look at it. Tho I’m not sure I’d say Keith exactly fears or hates fire, given how often we see him blow stuff up (even before becoming the red paladin)
There’s also a theory by @dent-de-leon suggesting that the red lion itself (under Galra coercion) may have been directly involved in an attack that burned down the family home (as evidenced by her presence in the BOM vision), and that part of the reason she was so fiercely protective of Keith is she felt super guilty about her role in hurting him all those years ago.
I always liked Keith being the guardian of fire just based on his temperament (and his proclivity for pyrotechnics–how many times has he blown stuff up?) but this headcanon def adds a whole ‘nother layer

I felt the same when I first watched it and was surprised by how short it was. At the same time im conflicted and wonder if after all the emotionally heavy stuff Italia has given us so far, they wanted to go the opposite route of og Skam and give smthng more lighthearted to make it unique. I don’t know how to explain it
I think I kinda get what you mean. After all, Nico's text already made it clear that Nico would not kill himself whereas with Even we had the Romeo & Juliet flashbacks and Isak running through town, thinking Even would hurt himself so of course their meeting was under complete different circumstances. Whereas with Nicotino it was just... was less "spectacular" and more calm in a way in Marti showing up to tell Nico that he is not alone. Which we always knew if you ask me. There was never a doubt that Marti would come for Nico. Whereas in OG Skam, there was always a bit of doubt left if Isak would just... go and run to Even.

All this! Definitely one of the things that I love about shallura is the natural connection. There is no shoehorned romance, nothing forced or fought for, and frankly I'm happy with this. The writers did say if romance does happen it will be natural so there you go. They did this part right
Yeah, I definitely agree that I think they’re doing this part right, too. Honestly, they’re doing right with all the romances, even the explicit ones, Haggar and Zarkon and Krolia and Keith’s dad being the two most established canon ones. They haven’t been over the top or weird or blatant about any of them. They’ve all really been.... soft is the only word coming to mind right now. Not necessarily in that the people were soft, but that the romances themselves were. They were subtle but obvious--couples that very clearly cared for one another, but were also supporting one another, too.
It’s like @shiroallura has said several times in their metas--romances in Voltron seem to be equated to intrinsic trust and support between two people. I really... really like that. It’s very natural feeling, and also is a breath of fresh air to see romances--established or potential--portrayed so healthily. There doesn’t need to be a love triangle to make one or both parties show affection to one another; there doesn’t need to constantly be relationship strife to let us, the audience, know that they want one another; there doesn’t have to be partners putting the other down or rolling their eyes (like so many media relationship portrayals do “the old ball and chain imarite” trope)... there’s just.... Trust. And support. And, through those things, affection and bonding and love. And I love that?
And because the last few seasons Kuron was constantly at odds and even yelled at Lance (plus his own Garrison peeps, Pidge and Hunk kept on teasing him and shutting him down), it felt like Lance had to fight harder to validate himself. This was a good point for him to start patching things up with Allura, to show his genuine self and get the encouragement/validation he was missing. I think with Lance finding love within himself (& through Allura and Shiro), their friendship can continue evolving
listen two of lance’s and allura’s conversations are either highkey or lowkey about shiro and only happened when allura had lost shiro in some manner, and then lance breaks down in tears over not realizing shiro needed him and allura comforts him i’m not saying that shiro is a crux of allura and lance’s relationship but that’s exactly what i’m saying
Your Shiro artwork with the pride flag just hit me in all types of way. The pose, the lighting and shadow outline of his frame, that thank you and that he's wearing his biker jacket. Honestly my top favorite lgbtq Shiro art, THANK YOU <3
!!!! oh my gooooooooooooooooooood,,,,bless you a thousand times and a thousand times more, this is really sweet! thank you for taking your time to write this. I’m really glad you enjoyed it ♥ it means a lot to me that that piece can mean something to other people too (hope that makes some sense)thank you so much, have a great day!!!

LOL “fake married to someone else” - Lance would want that to be him, “fake married to each other” and “pretending NOT to be in a relationship but already are” are so pidge and hunk seeing it how obviously obvious it is. Yes thats def eerie
maybe the Survey Monkey is a VLD fan?
I like Shallura because you'll never find a greater dynamic duo who can understand each other's strength and weaknesses, be goofy with each other, and still make sure the other is resting properly (aka that hand touch in season 2, hashtag never forget)
My kinda ship <3 #NeverForgettheShalluraHandTouch
Tell me why y’all like Shallura
