I’ve been running one mile a night every night since July 1st and although for some 1 mile is nothing it has been challenging for me considering I haven’t ran regularly for years. Regardless of that without fail I have consistently ran my mile and today I have officially shaved off over 4 minutes from my original time.
I am proud of myself but I’ve been struggling mentally because I used to be a runner and the fact that I’m finding this a challenge makes me hate myself a little. Although I’m well aware that I am improving I cant help but fault myself for getting this unfit.
I’m trying to use that as motivation but a lot of the time it just makes me want to give up. And I know if a friend of mine was telling me this I would tell her she’s crazy and that she should be happy with her growth this far.
Idk it’s dumb. I wish I could just be happy that I’m at least getting it done...
Day 03
So I'm not much of a runner, incase yall haven't noticed. I can walk all day, no problem! But after running half a mile, I'm completely done. I usually stop for a minute to thirty seconds for a water break after .5 or .75, unless I'm at the gym, then it's every .25. Not sure how healthy that is, but you need water right? That's another thing, I sweat like a man, so I get dehydrated very very very easily. Specially since I drink green tea. But I've been trying to drink more water here and there, it's been going well. My diet, again, sucked. Lemon lays, del taco fries, McDoland fries, buffalo sauce, McDs fish filet, shamrock shake, it was everything but healthy for sure. I'll get it soon though, I promise. And as for my horrible running, let me just get my asthma under control.
