This is about the book “Me Before you” by Jojo Moyes.
So here goes the journey..
Its starts with a 26 year old girl Clark who losts her job after the cafe where she was working shut down. Being from a middle class family, and the only earning member, makes the situation little worried. She goes up to the job center, Where she ended up in getting the job for the Care taker to a paralysed man Will Traynor. The Story is about these two people on how they changed their lives each other.
Will has gone through an accident 2 years before that makes the man permanent in a Wheel Chair. The adventurous, enthusiastic traveller thus turns to a disabled, depressed immovable man who wants to kill himself. His parents doesnt have any option, by seeing him daily going through pains, trauma, physical disturbances finally agreed to his decision by 6 month deal. This is where Clark enters his life.
Initially, Will and Clark were not good to each other. Slowly, Will started to smile with whatever Clark does with him. Will advises Clark to do many things in her life when she spent only in home and work. Then the day comes where Clark gets to know about Will’s Deal with his parents. She felt disappointed and decides to quit the job that she is not ready to see his boss die in some months. With her Sister’s Advice, she planned to change Will’s Mind instead of quitting.
Clark started to do all the possible ways to show Will that he has still a life to live. Making adventurous lists of whatever disabled can do to the great trips he can travel, that makes will to feel better. After some months of closeness, she ended up by loving Will, though she had a boyfriend. Will too had a girl friend where she breaks up due to his situation and marry his close friend. Will gets ill then and there due to his physical condition and depression. At the nearing end of six months, they planned a great trip to Mauritius with Clark and his friend Nathan. He enjoyed the island thoroughly with Clark. There goes the proposal from Clark to Will in the middle of the beach. Though Will loves her, he refuses her by saying not to tie her with his life, and Clark returns in disappointment. She quits the job when Will says she has to come to see him die in some days.
Inspite of many thoughts, Clark goes to Will’s Final day where she shows her love and gratitude towards him to give the best goodbye. Will ends his life before his love and his parents.
Clark recieves a letter from Will after 2 weeks, where she gets the cheque to improve herself for her studies and carreer.
