Which you can choose to ignore if you want but this is how I see it going: Stan is in an open relationship with Thistle mostly because of convenience rather then any actual true feelings for the guy. It's not the best relationship but it's better then nothing as far as Stan is concerned. Fiddlford totally has a crush on Ford though he has yet to admit this fact at all because he is too nervous. Stan knows about Fidd's crush on Ford (kinda obvious) and tells Fidds that he can date him instead since Stan finds Fidd's kinda cute "Thist won't mind". Fidd's kinda blushes and stutters and never takes him up on this. Ford is just oblivious to the whole thing and is essentially in a monogamous relationship with his work which only gets worse when he realizes Stan is around. He needs something to distract him from his burning anger after all.
