It's sad that #OneSocialWeb slowed down to a halt.  #BuddyCloud is back, and #Jappix is kicking more than ever.  #XMPP is a good protocol to build a #socnet on.  Existing users, and it also adds value to the protocol verses the closed-network and proprietary IM networks. Then there is #Movim too in the XMPP camp. The future of #DDFON socnet is bright and great!  Now imagine #Friendica once again leading the cross-federation efforts ;)  Who's next after Friendika<--> #Diaspora?  #AppleSeed? Jappix? BuddyCloud? Onwards to the future!

Recently, John Breslin, editor and publisher of Socialmedia.net, attended the federeated social web summit. A workshop held in Portland, Oregon. It was an invite only meeting which was denoted as being a “This is a “how” meeting, not a “why” or “whether to” meeting.”
