Spirit lead me where my trust is without border Let me walk upon the water wherever You would call me #Ocean #Onething2014
The love inside of You is so pure and so right It fills all heaven with its light Jesus your love is so amazing And this joy I just can't explain it I'm caught up in the fellowship I'm caught up in the fellowship You're the One, there You go again Lifting my heart, lifting my head Hope is rising, as I see You smiling I'm caught up in the fellowship I'm caught up in the fellowship
All glory, honor, power is your Jesus. #phillwickham #beautiful #awesomenight #Ihopkc #onething2014 #trip #lastday (at Bartle Hall Convention Center)
I am saved! -> I surrender
Ever since I stepped into One Thing 2014 surrounded by Christians who feel and hear the Holy Spirit so easily, I’ve yearned and yearned to hear Him. I often feel like an old soggy log in these environments, failing to catch the fire as everyone burns with passion and revelation. I stand there. I sing. I lift my arms. I hear nothing. 5 years ago at an Urbana conference I heard and felt the Spirit tug at me urgently, telling me that my lack of trust in Him hurts. Nowadays I usually hear and feel nothing. I’m spiritually stiff and cold. This morning I got frustrated too as my little sister, the sister that I and the Lord fought hard to bring to One Thing, is having such a hard time finding her place with these “Christians”, people she usually see as bad guys. I wailed and whined to the Lord that I’m so tired of telling people to keep their eyes on Jesus. To not take their eyes off the good God because of bad Christians.
The Lord whispered ever so quietly that I am saved, I have been paid for. I felt a twinge of excitement - and then a change begin to seep into my reality. “I am saved! I am saved! I am saved!” It’s a new reality. I have been saved from the self-condemnation I’ve carried for many years. I don’t know why it took me so long to realize that freedom from this weight is also part of salvation. Thank you Holy Spirit!
The whole day of sessions and worship today just reminded me of my almost-forgotten salvation. But also of my surrender! That the Christian life is an ongoing daily surrender to the Lord. Surrender of life, surrender of will, surrender of wisdom, surrender of understanding, surrender of heart. Yes Jesus! I am so excited you reminded me these things!
I’ll stand with arms high and heart abandoned! In awe of the One who gave it all! I’ll stand my soul Lord to you surrendered! All I am is yours!
I am excited to remember I have a life surrendered to mission in Jesus’ name. I can’t wait to see what you have in store Lord!!
