@onetsar yes! I tried to make the little pup iridescent I’m just bad at art!! I was sort of thinking of more of a mallard sheen though, because I just read that one post explaining green on birds and got excited
@aurusallos (apparently I cannot @ you!) the main model they seem to be using is a more brown tone, but from what I can see, the description of it doesn’t actually specify (though brown tones are most likely). I took some liberties because the actual fossil has green tones in it and I am a greedy, green loving loser.
@goothemighty yeah apparently in a lot of them, the shape of the individual melanosome pigments are sometimes preserved? so you can figure out what living animals have similar shaped guys and then compare. There’s also a few guys like psittacosaurus where the actual skin with its cute spots is visible!
