Ok bare with me, this is about the ravn situation. Now that he’s been “officially” shown to be innocent, I’ve decided to just be neutral on the situation. I’m not gonna accuse him of anything, but nor am I going to defend him. And y’all wanna know why? It’s because I just don’t know what to believe at the moment. Sure the big bad serious company proved the proof was wrong. But, did they? I’ve been immersed in this industry for long enough to know that companies sweep scandals under the rug by paying off the victims/accusers and then make up ways to dissect the evidence in a way that makes it seem fake. Now mind you, of course this doesn’t ALWAYS happen. There are instances when they genuinely and sincerely prove evidence isn’t real and take action accordingly, and it’s possible that this situation was just that. BUT, paying off people happens often enough that with this situation, I just don’t know.

(Note: please don’t come asking me for proof of companies sweeping under the rug or paying off bc obviously I won’t have any, no company is gonna readily and publicly admit they’ve done this)

This ravn situation specifically feels like this to me if the accusations were hypothetically true: the company realized the evidence was real, but KNEW that the accusations would reflect poorly on not just ravn, but them as well. So what do they decide to do? They tell ravn that they’ll help him out, but that he’ll have to leave the group “of his own volition”. This way, the company takes the burden off themselves of having to deal with the public knowledge and scandal that they had employed an assaulter (even if they didn’t know it when they first employed him) and continue to employ someone accused, and also helps make ravn out to be a martyr. By saying “I’m innocent but for the good of the group I choose to leave”, he and the company employ a really really fantastic tactic of pity. Fans can think wow, what a selfless guy. And the company can deal with the much more short term hate fans will have for them, for allowing ravn to leave the group despite innocence. That little amount of hate is much more worth it than years and years of apprehension from the general public.

Anyways, this might sound like just random conspiracy theories but truly, truly, I say all that from the bottom of my heart. At the end of the day, maybe he WAS innocent. Maybe the evidence and audios were fake and spliced together. If that’s true, I’m sorry to ravn. Genuinely. BUT, I’m not gonna blindly believe what the company says, just because they’re a company. And neither should y’all.
