@onewngd liked this for a smol starter.
They'd said a position within the ranks of the City Watch was prestigious, but truth be told, Cloud preferred his days amongst the house guards of Casterly Rock. There truly was something so fundamentally unfulfilling when it came to escorting a horse-drawn box containing some royal pompous prick through the shit-stained streets of King's Landing.
But he was here now, whether he'd made peace with his lot or not, and with eyes steeled forward, he guides his steed steadily through the streets, crowded with onlookers keen for even a glimpse of the Targaryen hiding from the rabble in his ornate box to Cloud's rear.
"You oughta cheer up a bit! Wave to the people~" the man riding beside him chimed in Cloud's general direction, as he had been doing the moment they'd left the city gates.
"... think I'd rather swallow a flagon of wildfire... put your effort into getting to the Red Keep without causing a riot." was the blond's grumbled response, which only earned him a throaty laugh and little else.
Oh, how he hates this place, its vile stink, and its people. He just wants to go home...
