“well hello there.” a grin on his lips as he pushes up from where he’s seated to get a better look at the other as they enter the room.  jude raises a brow, hadn’t been expecting any company, but he sure won’t be complaining. wide brown eyes trace over the other, a hand absentmindedly twirling a curl as he looks to them. “aren’t you just a sight for sore eyes? to what do i owe the pleasure?”

while his peers would rejoice over the offer of a promotion, tristan had little to no desire to accept. though, it wasn’t an option, to call it an offer was an overstatement, it was a declaration that his position would be changing. it was unfortunate, had grown fond of the routine, of seeing (more like flirting with) the ladies in court; most importantly, had a sense of freedom he knew would disappear very quickly. could no longer have hours unaccounted for, time for himself —- no, his charge was the princess, which meant he’d have to be his most attentive self. right now being the best example. was used to having mornings in silence, in solitude, but he found himself waiting patiently for the princess to emerge for her walk. “morning, highness,” hoped in the long run that perhaps he would be proven wrong, that this new job wouldn’t be an anchor around his neck. “i’m to accompany you on your walk.”

     𝑨𝑵 𝑨𝑴𝑼𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑷𝑶𝑼𝑻  settles on gianna’s features as she sits herself down on the blonde’s lap. her hands hurt from being at the piano all day, working on her newest album has taken a toll on the brunette. “ i refuse to look at my recording studio any longer. ”

despite mike essentially having professed his love to his best friend, he had yet gone the extra mile to change their relationship status. they were stuck in this limbo, the ever-present question standing: what were they? they had crossed the line of friends with benefits but hadn’t put a matching label on things. consumed with thoughts about the other (per usual), he had decided to drink away those nagging feelings that were always coupled with desire. he was waiting for lennon to arrive at the party, constantly checking his phone ― only ever wanting to see one person these days. that’s when he found himself chatting up some random girl from one of his classes, only for her to make a brazen move and kiss him. the universe seemed to have the worst timing ever, mike noticing lennon in the corner of his eye as he pushed the girl away. fuck, fuck, no. “lennon, it’s not what you think.” desperation seeped into his voice and lined his words as he stared at them, the girl quick to leave the room. despite not technically owing anything to each other, he felt the need to reassure them that nothing was happening. “y-you believe me right?”

“Len,” Ally kind of clapped her hands to grab their attention, pursing her lips. She had been talking for quite some time and only now had she noticed that the other was looking elsewhere. “Is your brain even on right now?” Not meant to be an insult, but rather a serious question. Alessandra knew just how much pressure her sibling was under and she’d never be upset at Lennon for needing a moment to themself.

jude doesn’t resist at all, in fact wraps his arms around cory’s waist and pulls him in even closer. he takes a deep breath, squeezing tightly. he’s terrified to let go. “you won’t ignore all my calls?” he teases lightly, though there’s a real fear beneath, that this is the beginning of the end for them. he can’t shake the feeling that this isn’t going to end well. that he’s going to break his own heart somehow in these next two months. “you’ve got to keep me up to date on what’s happening here. and i’ll watch your streams still, every chance i can. if not you can text me and tell me all about it. or call. or.. or anything really. ”

“I told you, I don’t want to talk about it.” Her tone had come off extremely annoyed, which Athena was, though the calmness of her voice remained the same. She wasn’t one for outbursts--much unlike her older brother--but she felt like she was about to have one. She was good at controlling her emotions though, and she knew she only needed to keep them under control for a while longer. Finally, she placed a vial on the counter. “I don’t understand why you have to keep bringing it up.”

Dirt took a deep breath, looking at the other. They were very clearly tried, barely keep their eyes open. “I need a hug.” It was the honest truth--though they struggled to admit to the other--the weight of their shoulders making them hunch forward a bit. They couldn’t help it, thoughts of their family before everything had flooded their mind even while they were at work. Dirt just wanted to get their mind off of everything. “I miss hugs.”
