So this isn’t going exactly how I wanted it to, but that’s ok.

This first incarnation of turning MTGO games into short stories isn’t really working how I wanted it to. Being a generic planeswalker, changing decks every story, following the game action for action. These things are making the stories that I’ve been writing feel a bit flat to me. I need more characterization, more plot, and more consistency. Also, I only have so many good decks that can help create interesting stories, and the deck that I chose most recent wasn’t working out.

I’ve decided to step back for a bit and rethink how I want to approach this. I want to create a roster of characters to match the decks that I play. I want to create a better setting than some generic arena where planeswalker battles take place. I’m going to ponder this, do some preliminary work, and come back when I feel ready. I don’t want this to be an indefinite hiatus, so I’m giving myself a deadline. I’m going to check in again in two weeks on October 1st.

Hopefully that will give me the time I need to develop some characters, a better setting, and attempt to have a plot beyond planeswalkers fighting in an arena.
