I believe It was almost a year ago that I have announced that I would reboot this series. It was at a time that I felt... quite lost. I was going through a lot, I wasn’t happy with the state of the old Moontale comic, and most of all, I didn’t have much of a plan for it. I was just making it up as I went, and I suffered for it.
That was when I decided to start from scratch. I stopped making updates, and I announced that Moontale would come back in 2021, though I didn’t know where to start. So I shelved the project to focus on completing Spring for Another Winter. It served to give me a breath of fresh air, and when I came back to Moontale a few months later, I felt that I was ready.
I spent over half a year reworking the story. I studied plot structure and read articles and books on screenwriting. I spent many long nights fixing plot holes and countless hours figuring out how to portray scenes and characters. It was tough, grueling even, but I pulled through. And the product of that labor of love? Probably my best piece of storytelling to date: all structured as if it was a feature length film.
It’s a story I want to tell so badly. It will take years until I’m finished. But I’m determined to see it through to the end. This project, especially Ivis, is my baby. Imperfections and all.
There isn’t a strict upload schedule for updates, but I’ll try my best to upload frequently.
