They’d been at it for hours, the his boyfriend and his best friend had been playing a marathon of Mario Kart, all because Minho kept losing, even though Taemin had barely ever played before. Jinki was sitting on the arm chair, reading, and occasionally laughing at Minho’s frustration or at Taemin’s shouts of triumph.
They game had been running smoothly for Minho, he was in first place and they were on the second lap. He glance at the other half of the TV screen to see that Taemin was only in 4th. He just had to make sure Peach, who was in 2nd, didn’t sneak up on him like Taemin had the tendency to. Passing into the third lap, Minho figured he was practically golden at this point, all his struggles for the past few hours wouldn’t be in vain because he will have one the last game, which meant he was just saving the best for last. When his controller vibrated him his hand, he focused in again on the screen to find the little blue shell notification light up on the bottom of his screen and he cursed loudly and Jinki could hear Taemin snickering beside minho.
Jinki turned his attention to the screen in time to watch as Minho was hit by the blue shell and then hit with a red shell right after. They were one turn away from the finish line, and Minho was determined to beat Taemin, even if it meant him getting 3rd and Taemin getting 4th. Minho cursed again when they hit the next set of dice block and he got a coin.
“Seriously? How do you get a coin in 3rd place?!” Minho shouted, standing to try pass the computer in 2nd. Jinki checked Taemin’s screen to see what the youngest had gotten out of the dice blocks and oh no, Minho’s gonna be-
“How?! How did you get a Bullet Bill in 4th place?! You’re obviously cheating you little shit!” Minho yelled, throwing his controller down as he passed the finish line in 3rd place, Taemin having taken 1st. Minho huffed and stomped out of the room, the door to his and Jinki’s shared bedroom slamming.
Taemin stood and looked at Jinki, “I’m um, not sorry, but like, you should go talk to him, you know how he gets about these things. I’ll let myself out, text me later Jinx” He said, shuffling towards the door to put his shoes on.
Jinki sighed and uttered a goodbye before standing and stalking over to the bedroom. He knocked softly and then opened the door, almost laughing at the sight he saw.
Minho was sitting on the edge of the red, red faced, with his arms crossed over his chest. “You here to make fun of my too?” He hissed, not really caring about anything at this point. Jinki laughed into the back of his hand and he shook his head. “You know, You’re cute when you’re angry” He said crawling onto the bed and hugging Minho from behind, running his nails along the younger’s shoulders, giggling when he heard Minho huff in annoyance.
“It’s just not fair babe, that kid is so good at everything.” Minho said quietly, eyebrows furrowing.
Jinki kissed his nape and smiled, “You know what he isn’t good at?” he whispered, “Being my boyfriend.”
“Eww Jinki! You’re so cheesy!” Minho said, pushing out of the embrace to stand and facepalming to hide his ridiculous smile, and Jinki just gave him that stupidly cute, shit-eating grin. “You love it, you cutie.”
A/N Requests are OPEN! Also I’ve got some domestic Taekey heading you way later tonight!!
Minho groaned as Jinki came back into the room grinning, waving a photo album in his hand.
“Ugh, hyung, no. Put it back.” Jinki laughed as he sat beside Minho, pulling him onto his lap as he tried to stand up to leave.
“No, no, no. You sit back down. This is a special bonding moment.” Jinki reasoned,
“Hyuuuung.”
“If you don’t stay, I’ll send embarrasing picture to Kibum.” He warned, releasing the squirming man from his grasp.
“No fair.” Minho pouted, sitting down beside his grinning elder. Jinki laughed in response, opening the album to the first page.
“Life isn’t fair.”
After a few pages of solo pictures they came across photos of them together. A picture of Minho covered in his food, Jinki beside him completely clean immediately caught their attention.
“Aww, look at the mess you made! How cute.” Minho scrunched his nose,
“That’s not cute, it’s gross. Look how clean you are!”
“That was a time when the age gap was more significant though. Besides, if that was anyone other than you, you’d find it cute too.” Jinki pinched at Minho’s cheek, “And you looked utterly adorable.” Minho huffed. “What happened?” Jinki teased.
“Hey!”
“I’m just kidding. You look adorable right now, and I can tell you’re feeling embarrased.” Jinki teased, making Minho groan and cover his face,
“Hyung!”
“Don’t worry, there’s bound to be embarrassing ones of me too.” Jinki ruffled his hair, before turning his attention back to the photo album. “Aww, look!” He pointed to a photo of them holding hands at a funfair.
“Is it another stupid picture of me being an idiot?”
“Minho.” Jinki scolded, poking Minho’s nose, “Stop being silly and look at this cute picture of us in front of a ferris wheel.” Minho scrunched his nose, but looked obediently regardless. A smile ghosted his features when he looked at the photo in question. “See? Cute.”
“Do you remember that time when your cousin said she wanted to marry me?” Jinki asked, smiling fondly at the photo of Minho standing in front of him, sticking his tongue out at the aforementioned cousin. Minho looked up from the photo, with a lopsided smile.
“Kinda.”
“And your mum said that she couldn’t because she had already decided we were gonna gonna marry each other?” Minho laughed and shook his head,
“What? No way!” Jinki laughed heartily at his reaction,
“And you were still mad that she beat you at whatever game we’d been playing, so you said you were going to marry me and that she absolutely couldn’t.” He pause to laugh, “She got upset and after she left you said to me; ‘I don’t really want to marry you. I just wanted to make her upset.’” Minho was tearing up with laughter, “And we both agreed that getting married is icky and we promised to never marry each other.” Jinki managed to finished; between gulps of air and bouts of laughter.
“Oh my god, no way! That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard!”
After a few minutes of trying to calm down, and stop laughing, the pair managed to look at each other without cracking up.
“I’m glad I still remember it. I wonder if your cousin does.” Jinki pondered aloud.
“I was such an idiot as a kid.” Minho shook his head,
“Well that idiot is the one I fell in love with, so who cares?” Minho’s head snapped to Jinki, eyebrows raised and cheeks pink,
“Hyung.” Minho whined bashfully, Jinki beamed at him pulling him into his arms.
“It’s true, now stop roasting your old self. The past made you who you are now, and I wouldn’t change you for the world, okay?” Minho nodded into Jinki’s chest.
“Agh, hyung you always make me feel like a blushing school girl.” he grumbled, Jinki laughed and stroked Minho’s hair,
“Good. I’m glad I’m the only one who gets to see you like this and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
I hope this is okay!! Thank you for requesting! Also! I name you Onho anon! (so be sure to put - Onho anon on your requests and stuff) :D - Admin Kiwi
This kinda wasn't going the way I planned.. But I don't know.
Tell me if you guys want more? Because I could easily add on to this. I just didn't want to make it too long.
Ever since he was a kid, Minho loved sports. He enjoyed watching them, and played in various teams as he grew up. By the time he turned 10 he realised that the one thing he hated the most in the world was losing, especially when he knew that he could beat the opponent. It wasn’t long after this discovery that he found he had a special talent.
On a cold winter day, Minho and his closest friends were playing a quick soccer match before school started. It was only seconds before the first bell rang, and they were tied 3 to 3. Right as the bell rang, Minho had a shot at the goal and took it. Sadly, someone ran up just in time to kick it out of the way. The tall kid was fuming. How could he have seen that I was going to shoot? he angrily thought. He was about to demand a rematch when he heard the sound of a bell in his head. All of a sudden he was at the beginning of the play waiting for the kick off. Minho thought it must have been some stroke of luck, or God giving him a second chance, even if that didn’t make sense for a simple game between friends. A few days later another opportunity came up where he returned to the beginning of what ever he was doing and was given a second chance. It took years of practice, but eventually he got to the point where he could reverse anything for a few seconds, even if it was something as simple as reversing time for an arm wrestling match. He quickly became the best athlete at school, and was known for winning at everything he did.
By the time he got to college he had won multiple bets, and cheated on plenty of tests, abusing the purpose of his gift. This power had become a rather fun toy as opposed to a special talent. Above all things he loved to win, and that extended from his school and work life into his personal life. He tried to use the gift to pick up girls, and once he realised he was gay, he would use it on guys as well.
After a long day at school he went to the local coffee shop for work. He was busy behind the counter when a man with longer auburn hair and a soft face walked up. “And what would you like today handsome?” Minho cheekily asked.
The man seemed to look him up and down, “Excuse me? what did you just say?”
Minho tried again jumping back to when the man walked up in the first place, “I’m sorry, what would you like?”
“I’ll just have a large americano please.” The man smiled, and when he did Minho swore he heard birds singing.
The tall boy started to stumble with his words, “Um, okay, that’s.. uh 2000.. now wait 3500 won.” Minho cringed at his own awkwardness, and almost on instinct reversed back to when the man walked up. “What would you like today?”
“I’ll just have a large americano please.” The man smiled again, but this time Minho was prepared. He almost wanted to keep reversing time to just see the man smile over and over. While Minho contemplated what living his entire life just repeating the same moment would do to him the man tried to get Minho’s attention. “You have americano’s right?”
Minho snapped out of his trance, “Oh right yeah, dammit.” He jumped back again. “What would you like, let me guess, an americano?”
“Yes, large! How did you know!” The man some how smiled until his whole face seemed to smile with him.
“You just seem to be an americano type of person.” Minho blushed at how cheesy he was being. The man in front of him was undeniably cute, so flirting was the first thing on his list of things to do. “Would you mind if I put my number on your cup?” He tried to ask slyly.
The man blinked at him “Oh come on, you have to be smoother than that.”
Minho blushed and reversed to before he had made a fool of himself. “How about I make that two americano’s on me because I get off work on about 2 minutes.” He asked, working his charm.
“That doesn’t sound too bad. I was just going to sit by myself, but I guess having someone sit with me might be fun.” The many smiled widely again, almost throwing off the taller boy.
“And your name is?”
“Onew,” the man said, “and yours?”
“Minho,” he said sticking out his hand.
“Please, there’s no need for formalities. I’m probably only a few years older than you.”
Minho looked at his feet, “Sorry, I assumed you were much older.”
Onew laughed, “what gave you that impression?”
The taller boy quickly paused, because you’re so hot? he thought, no that wouldn’t work. Because you’re dressed smartly? no that sounds even dumber. He realised he was spacing out again, and reversed back to the introductions.
“I’m Minho, and you are?” He asked.
“I’m Onew!” The man smiled, “It’s nice to meet you. See you shortly!” The older boy went to find a seat.
A couple of minutes later Minho walked out with two coffees trying to find the brunette in the busy cafe. He didn’t want to make yet another bad impression, it was getting exhausting living the same moments over and over again. Lost in thought, the tall boy lost his footing, spilling the coffees all over himself and the older boy. “Oh, I guess I found you.”
“Ugh! I can’t believe you spilled coffee all over me.”
“Please, my apartment’s just across the street, you can borrow one of my shirts.”
The man sighed, “Do you seriously think I would go for that line?”
Minho looked dejected, and reversed back to the moments before he tripped. He avoided the shoes of customers in the walking path as he made his way to Onew. “Sorry about that.”
“About what?” Onew blinked at the taller boy.
“Oh, um nothing..” Minho looked into his coffee to avoid eye contact with the older boy. There was a pause between them. The two boys seemed to want to talk, but neither dared to break the silence.
Onew seemed amused by the boy’s behaviour, “So do you go to school here?”
“Yes, do you?” Minho asked a little too quickly.
“Yup, I’m going to graduate soon though.”
“Please don’t,” Minho quietly said.
Onew burst out laughing, “What did you just say?”
Minho blushed, “Damn my mouth.” he reversed time to back when he sat down.
“So are you going to school here?” Minho asked this time, initiating the conversation.
“Yeah, I’m a business major, but I’m going to graduate soon.”
Minho wasn’t as disappointed to hear that this time, but it still made him sad. “So, um, why did you choose a business major? Are you going to “take over your father’s company” like all the rest of the business majors here seem to be doing,” he jested.
“Actually yes, why do you think that’s funny?” Onew looked a little offended.
“I..” Minho stammered, “Ugh! I hate this!” He jumped back again. “So why a business major?”
“My dad hopes for me to take over the family business, but to be completely honest I’m not very interested. I’m the only child in my family though, so it’s expected.” Onew sighed.
“So what’s the family business, if you don’t mind me asking?” Minho asked, trying to keep the conversation moving.
Onew went on to say that it was some entertainment company that Minho had probably heard of. All the while Minho couldn’t help but look at Onew’s lips when he talked. They looked so plump he wondered what they would feel like against his. What they would feel like against his skin, what they would feel like against his — His train of thought was interrupted by Onew, “You really haven’t heard of the SHINee entertainment company? I thought everyone knew? That’s why I’ve been keeping my real name a secret.”
Minho felt as though he had missed something, “Wait what? Your family own’s SHINeent?!”
Onew let out a hearty laugh, “Ah, so you were paying attention! And here I was thinking you were more concerned about my lips.”
Minho’s eyes widened, “No I wasn’t, ugh do I have to do this again?” Minho tried to jump back, but he seemed to be too tired to carry out the task. Wait, what? he thought, what’s wrong with me? I’m always able to jump back.. I guess I’ve never jumped this much at once before, maybe I have to wait to recharge or something?
“Do what again? and what does “jumping back” mean?” Onew had a smirk plastered on his face.
Oh god, did I say that out loud? Minho thought, No, there’s no way! “What are you talking about?”
“What are you talking about? All I know is that you want to see my lips doing something that I can’t really say in the middle of a cafe, and you can’t “jump back.”” Onew smiled cheekily.
Minho was in a state of shock, this wasn’t going at all how he planned. Maybe he could jump back now, maybe he could resolve this. The taller boy focused on one point trying to make the world rewind, but it would work no matter how hard he concentrated. “You’re so distracting Onew.” Minho gritted his teeth, “how come I can’t do this when you’re around?”
The older boy started to laugh, “You really are thick.”
The taller boy’s concentration broke, “What do you mean thick?”
“I’ve been able to read your mind this whole time!” Onew grinned, “Now don’t get me wrong, it took me a while to figure out what your power was, but you eventually gave it away.”
Minho looked shocked, “What the hell? You can read my mind?! You have powers too?!?”
“Oh, and by the way, I’ll take you up on that offer. I would love to do whatever you want me to do with my lips.” Onew’s smiled with his whole face, leaving Minho sputtering trying to make sense of it all.
