okay my controversial rgu opinion is that tatsuya is just not that bad. everyone hates on him based on that one line in the elevator scene (which idk if the translation of that is even good or not). but like. that's just the worldview of the society he lives in?? there is obviously, like, an obsession with purity and the loss of innocence and first sexual experiences, it just goes hand in hand with the misogyny of the setting (and the misogyny of real life...). and he's saying that he doesn't care about that & would still love wakaba anyway. which is like way better than i at least would expect from a normalboy at ohtori?
idk ive just seen people hate him wayyy more than ruka, for example, and tatsuya did nothing near as bad as that!
