My friend referred to Kieran as “The Indigo Dork” once and now I call him that regularly in my head

Headcanon of mine is that Kieran’s Hydrapple is named Appy Slices because he named the Applin (just Appy Slice at the time) when he was little . So during Indigo Disk he gets embarrassed about this and keeps trying to say its nickname is “Monster” or something threatening like that, but Hydrapple does not respond to any of the attempted replacements so people keep catching on that it’s not actually its name

On the outside I realize Kieran and Arley look sooo “Protective Edgy Boy and Soft Pretty Girl” because of their designs so I want to elaborate on this..

I believe, unless they’re someone older than her, Arley hates when people get overly protective of her. She appreciates being defended and given protection when it’s worth it, she’s not used to feeling safe and secure. While she’s unsure of it at first, that CPTSD making her feel like that protection and love is a lie, she finds it comforting as she adjusts.

But once someone begins getting a little too overbearing. A little too “let me do this for you”, “I’ll handle it for you”, “don’t talk to them at all”, “don’t talk to Arley”, etc etc, she just starts getting agitated and frustrated. It feels like she’s having her control, which she only JUST received after a life of extreme rules and expectations, taken from her

Which.. she is!! She is!!! Arley’s gone through so much worse than a few people or tasks being an inconvenience to her, and if someone insists on handling everything that causes her even the smallest problem, she’s going to HATE that. Leave her alone leave her alone leave her alone!!!! Shut up!!!! (And to an extent, thinking about it, I think Kieran would 100% relate to this given his character and what we know he dislikes)
