In response to my last post (which by the way was reblogged by anti-Onision blogs), I'm going to address common criticisms aimed at Onision and bananas. Q: Why do you even watch this loser? He's an abuser/rape apologist/whatever else you can try and label him A: I watch Onision because he is funny. He is a comedian. He is payed to do what he does. He cheers me up and makes me laugh. Q: Why did Lainey even marry him? She could do so much better. A: I'm just going out on a limb here and guessing she married him because she loves him. They're happy together. Leave their relationship and her alone. Q: Why would you tell someone to kill themselves? You monster! A: *scrolling through Twitter* "Roses are red, violets are blue, kill yourself." *sniffles* "WELL, FINE THEN!" Seriously, if someone actually took that literally, they have more problems than they think. Q: How can someone make fun of *insert "proof"* I don't care if they do it on tv/books/movies/songs. It's all horrible! A: People have been "making a mockery" out of these things for a long time. You yourself probably have, too. Ever called something or someone gay? Ever said you were depressed when you were just a little sad? Ever said "kill me now" when thinking of something dreadful? Q: How can you still watch Onision after all of the horrible things he's done to his girlfriends/wives? A: Okay, say he actually did beat all his significant others, starved them, and made them his slaves. Would I care? Of course. I wish pain upon nobody. Would I "take action"? No. He's filming skits or himself talking, and that's why I watch him. I don't watch him for his personal life. Q: Why would you consider this >insert insult< as a role model? A: Because even if he isn't religious or mistake-free, he's a genuinely good person. He cares for animals and his bananas and often personally addresses their problems. He loves each significant other he's had and devoted his life to giving to others. I'd say he's a pretty good guy, unlike someone who spends their day insulting another person. Q: Why does he hate me? I'm just trying to expose the truth! A: He doesn't hate you, you just annoy him. What's there to expose? Even if you do prove he's the worst person to ever live, what would you be proving? Move on with your life. You are the embodiment of 10 Things I Hate About Haters. By the way, I'm a young, trans*, meat-eating, underweight, religious person with social anxiety and I'm romantically attracted to all types of people. In case you didn't get the hint, that's about half of what people accuse Onision of making fun of. Banana Power! I love you, Onision. I mean it. I'm a banana for life. ~Dom
