Okay, so I’ve talked a lot about Grammarly and how much I enjoy using it. Then, last week, this was introduced to me and oh, my word...
Never have I used a more incredible tool to edit my writing. It suggests style improvements, catches sticky sentences, corrects grammar and spelling mistakes. It gives you reports about overused words and catches cliches. It will show you overly long sentences (which we all know I am trash for). It watches transitions and repeats, style, dication, and will even check for plagarism.
This is the most incredible thing I have ever used. Yes, you pay for it, but unlike Grammarly, you can pay for a lifetime subscription, AND it was less expensive than a yearly subscription to Grammarly!
It took me a few hours to figure out all the features, and for someone who is writing short fanfics I’m not sure you’d want to put in the effort to go through all the reports, but even just the grammar/spell check, over used words, and style editor are worth having.
Anyone looking to prep a novel for submission to an agent really, really needs to give this a look.
