Where do you download PDFs from?
Hi there! 🌸
Most of the PDFs I use come through my teachers and are normally articles or excerpts from books. They're usually from Jstor, Internet Archive, HathiTrust, SCI-HUB etc, together with other archive websites specific of the subject and free to access either privatly or through your university account.
For other types of PDFs let's say that I download them from open access websites 🏴☠️. I can give you a list if you dm me. ;)
There are so many people on both wings who are anti piracy and it saddens me. It's even to the point that they don't like online libraries because of the almighty dollar.
When i finish my book, even though it isn't fanfiction, you will be able to read it for free.
Is anyone else having issues with Libby and the Overdrive online libraries? I keep getting a notification that "the library authentication server is overwhelmed due to high volume. Requests will be denied until it recovers."
I have actually no clue what that means.
I LOVE local and paid (ibraries that offer non-resident) libraries!
I have a whole host of books to read now!
Especially from my childhood!
Anyone know if something like the queer liberation library exists for the UK / outside of America? My llibraries collection of queer nonfiction is starting to look pretty scarce and there's only so many times a guy can hit "notify me" on libby without getting discouraged
Hi everyone!
This is a search for assistance and advise.
I'm looking for libraries with academic audiobooks. Primary interest topics are art, political science, law, literature, philosophy and psychology.
If anyone knows any libraries contatining such materials (especially with free access), please let me know.
