Does Online Gaming really affect your academic performance?
So we’re in the year 2021, online gaming is booming in popularity due to the pandemic lockdowns.
But wait a minute, what is online gaming? I’ll tell you what it is. Online gaming is an activity that uses devices to play games, it can be a simple snake eating an apple to a sci-fi action fps game. It does not matter what are you playing or even the devices you’re using at playing those games. All that matters is that its gaming. It is used to vent out stress, socialized and enjoying your time.
So let’s get on point, does gaming really affect your performance in school? The short answer is maybe. The long answer is my insight of this and why I say its 50/50. So let’s get on my answer, Online gaming can affect you! Whether it be for better or for worst. Since I’m a seasonal player of new games, I’ll share some of my opinions regarding the issue. Online gaming has helped me get to these tough times, they’re like my go to remedy when I’m burned out of school works or family issues. It has been a good remedy in my life, I met many friends that I still hangout today. Of course in calls, always social distance yourself!!!! Online gaming is my motivator and that’s why I’m trying hard to finish the school year.
But I can’t say that for others, since online gaming can lead to addiction. Like I said, games are fun! But that fun can destroy many things in your life if you don’t know how to control it! Online gaming can distract you on doing your works and that can be dangerous since it can lead to stress and staying up at night more often. So handle gaming with care!!
So in conclusion, online gaming is a double-edge sword. If you know how to use it, it can be beneficial in your life. Same goes to how harmful it is, if you don’t know how to properly manage online gaming. You’re in a world of hurt! So always remember, the choice is always yours!
