The freedom to create our own rules...
The freedom to create our own rules...
In my early school years, I experienced some heartbreaking instances of school bullying. And after a sudden separation of my parents, my situation at school worsened. Initially, this transition from a traditional school to deschooling gave me a respite from school's violence. And I must admit that further transition was relatively smooth for me.
So you guys I have online school right I mean everybody does and it sucks so I decided to add a gif to it
Yes I hate online school so I should say die school
When someone says are you doing good with online schooling
Me and my friends be like fuck this shit I'm out
me laying in bed awake at one in the morning listening to Violent Femmes thinking about the girl I’m desperately lusting after knowing fully well I got hella catch up assignments in the morning
Is virtual schooling a good idea?
Recently, more and more children are migrating online to get aid in their studies. In fact, as this movement has grown, many now attend solely online education. This concept has proved unsettling for many, as it seems strange and alien to those of us used to traditional face-to-face teaching. Surely this new way cannot be as beneficial to those within the system as the normal teaching methods?
It could be argued that online education could not provide sufficiently to those wishing to pursue less academic- based subjects (P.E and social skills would be difficult to asses through technology). Furthermore, this new way of education could simply make worse the inequality already found within the education system, as only families who can afford to have an adult at home to care for the child will have access to it.
These arguments, however, are not conclusive, and many would say that the online education system has an opportunity to monitor more closely, a child's assignments and lessons, and therefore tailor individual courses relating to the child's needs. Virtual schooling also gives a safer education to the children, who are far less likely to be bullied, and, as social lives are beginning to gravitate around technology, the loss of social skills gained from the system will be minimal.
Due to the lack of results or statistics present as of yet regarding this issue, we cannot resolve it scientifically, but we can only wonder whether this is an example of our modern technology thriving, or if we are creating a new generation of people whose lives will be lead by the internet. I’m interested to know what you think about the issue, please feel free to comment and state your opinions, but be respectful! In our ever-growing society, the ideology over how to educate children has always been a controversial topic, and that's okay. We are all unique people with unique opinions.
