Finally have all the Machine Boy Combaticons!
At first, these guys came out of nowhere. A KO of the Warbotron Combaticons, with different colors. And awesome colors at that! However, while cheap and easy to get, Onslaught was not made with the rest of them. And his release date kept getting pushed back to the point where all hope was lost. Jinbao released their oversized KO and another company, WuKong, KO’d Onslaught in this size, which some people used to complete this Machine Boy set, but that company just wasn’t Machine Boy with their awesome wacky coloring.
However, he was finally released by Machine Boy awhile ago, albeit with a...higher price tag than I had hoped. Still, I had to get him! The colors were the same as the original Warbotron Onslaught, but brighter and more vibrant! Alas, upon finally getting him I just don’t seem to care for him as much as the other four. His head design is what puts me off the most, followed by his odd proportions and not so broad chest. I don’t know, he just doesn’t scream Onslaught to me. At least they’re complete though, and I love Swindle, Vortex, and Blast-off. Brawl I wish was better because he’s one of my favorites, but the figure just feels cheap, hollow, and lacking in design for his shoulder arm movement. But hey, that face-sculpt of Swindle and that G2-esque vibrancy makes up for the whole of the team!
