SAPIOLINK ; alterhumanity coining post!

sapiolink is best described as an alterbeing with a link or connection to humanity. it can be considered the inverse of alterhumanity terms like [X]-hearted or [X]link, and a being that uses this term doesn't have to label their nonhumanity as alterhumanity. as an example; a wolf therian (who may not consider themself a therian, and simply a wolf) may still have some sort of connection to humanity, with or without being human at all. this term is to describe that experience!

this can be referred to as a sapiolink, or following the example above, wolfsapien. this can also be represented by theta psi [ΘΨ] ; theta symbolizing wild animals, and psi symbolizing the human mind.

I seriously hate the damage tiktok has done to the therian label. Like no.. its not masks, quadrobics, and tails, its really not. This is an identity, and those things are gear; things you use to express yourself. But talking to any tiktok therian, they treat it like a belief and you gotta get certain check marks to fit in. :/

Good camera quality, be physically fit and able, have an aesthetically pleasing mask, have a tail but make sure it looks real but isn't, be in nature or clean house/area, and be an animal that walks on all fours.

Like bro tiktok ruins everything, because WHAT is we doing.. They are also ALWAYS anti physical identifying beings.

i wish more people knew, or could accept, that theriothropy can look like anything. it's such a pain to see the damage that it had done. this brand of theriothropes on tiktok tend to be purely canine too; and while there is nothing wrong with being a canine, as i am one myself, it shows such a small fraction of the therian community. i wish more people bothered to look into what alterhumanity really is, or could accept that what they see is only a small fraction

I feel like a lot of alterhumans have absolutely no manners by human or animal standards. Don't go into the woods and howl, it's rude and scary to the animals living there. Don't go into a nice restaurant and act like an animal even if you are one, you know better than that. And for the love of something don't go into the woods and kill prey animals without a proper hunting license

hello, hope it's okay to ask, but we're super confused

what's the difference between alterhuman, therian, -kin (kinning?) and non-human? we've seen the terms a lot and tried looking it up, but we can't really figure out what separates them. we see different definitions everywhere, so we figure we might as well ask you c:

hellohello!! we explained what alterhuman, therian, and -kin are in this post!! though we didn't include nonhuman, so here is a brief description:

a nonhuman is, simply put, someone who doesn't identify with humanity at all. while alterhumanity as a whole includes those who identify as human partially, nonhuman does not!!

Incoming yap-session, because I feel like this blog is a lot more understanding rather than any other Alter-humanity blog.

As a mixed-race individual, I genuinely wish for others to stop using the term 'mutt' to refer to themselves if they are mono-race.

For those who may not know, 'Mutt' may refer to a dog that is mixed-breed and/or of unknown ancestry, typically seen as inferior to 'Purebred', but it has also historically been used as a derogatory slur against mixed-race individuals by using the same exact definition as a means of dehumanizing them.

If you identify in general as a certain dog breed, you can use alternative terms such as a canine, a hound, canidae, or possibly create a personal term for yourself.

But, if you need alternatives for mixed-breed dogs, you can use terms such as combo canine, a patchwork pup, or [Breed]-Mix ( Shepherd-Mix, Husky-Mix, Etc ). Just anything but a slur that's still actively used today.

I've tried to explain this before to someone who was fully white, and they still felt entitled to using it because of their trauma — which had absolutely nothing to do with using 'Mutt' — and that if they really wanted to be racist, they would just say the n-slur...

I also want to add that mixed-race individuals are absolutely well within their rights to reclaim the slur in the end, and no one should have a say in how they reclaim it, whether they make it a part of their identity or use it in another way.

Again, sorry for the yap session, but it has increasingly become a problem within the Alter-human and System communities, and it frustrates me when no one listens and is insanely stubborn.

while we were never called mutt enough for it to do any damage (to our knowledge), we have been called it before for being mixed with japanese (alongside some HORRIBLE jokes that did affect us). i don't have anything else to add, but non-mixed dogfolks, please be mindful!!!

Hihi metahuman anon back I just figured out how to describe the term metahuman for your carrd !!

Metahuman (Metamorphosized Human) - An entity that was previously entirely human, but is now either partially or fully nonhuman, while still appearing & presenting human to many people. This can be in any form, but is coined with psychological identities in mind.

If the user of the term uses it in the "story" way (like myself) , a Metahuman is also a partially nonhuman entity who recognizes/still identifies with their humanity, but also freely expresses their nonhumanity. This expression can be in a ton of ways :-) [Not elaborating too much on this form of Metahuman identity here but I might elaborate more in a coining post if I make one]
