I'm asking because so far people who make a big deal about being anti endo have all either answered with nothing but swearing at me for some reason or "it's common sense" and that doesn't tell me ANYTHING at all
hellohello!! to be honest, i haven't seen anyone get asked this question, and i'm a bit appalled by the boundary break TwT but, i'll answer your question regardless!! everything will be under the cut!!
generally, we (as a system) are against (pro)endos, because we do not believe that endos and willos are systems (as they do claim to be, endigenic system is one of the top endo terms), and thus, they shouldn't be a part of system spaces. mod arctic doesn't believe that endos and willos experience plurality, which i do agree to!! to an extent. this isn't to say we don't believe that endos and willos experience what they do, but rather, that it isn't plurality, and is more likely a personality disorder, or a delusion; as a system who deals with HEAVY delusions. it also, feels like an insult, to try to demedicalize plurality, and comparing it to transgenderism and using transgender terms for it feels DISGUSTING. (more on that below)
another reason is the toxicity that (pro)endos show. aside from spreading a ton of misinformation, (pro)endos seem extremely set on invading system spaces, and they get pissed and throw the ableism card whenever anti-endos reject that (how is it ableist to say that endos aren't disordered or systems? don't they claim not to be? TwT) anti-endos just want a space away from (pro)endos--as endos claim plurality but not systemhood, anti-endos just want a space for actual systems to be in peace--and yet, we get bombarded with harassment for it. have you seen all those "this post is now pro-endo" posts and blogs? even this blog got targeted by a reblog, and i just wanted this to be a safe space away from that!! we delete any hate asks and barely acknowledge them!!
i do also have to add that pluralpedia uses extremely outdated articles for plurality; using things for MULTIPLE PERSONALITY DISORDER, a term that has been deemed inaccurate for decades.
ANOTHER reason is theft. endos have stolen so much from others, from reusing unrelated terms, to using racist terms and excusing it. here are a bunch of examples:
endogenic - of or relating to metamorphism taking place within a planet or moon (geology) ; biology formed or occurring internally (biology), the property of originating or developing from within an organism, tissue, or cell (biology, also referred to as endogeny) ; endogenic is meant to be a term for disabilities like endometriosis (though this page doesn't use that term)
endophobic - a neologism understood as the aversion or disdain for the cultural identity and/or phenotypical characteristics of one's own ethnic group, as well as individuals from the same nation, either for their nationality or the sociocultural aspects of the idiosyncrasy of their country or region of origin (in short, a term for anti-natives)
sysmed - taken from transmed(icalism), the belief that transgenderism is primarily a medical issue (used by/against those who believe that non-binaries exist, under the belief that body dysphoria is 100% necessary to be trans and medically transitioning is the only "real" way to be trans | sysmed is used against those who believe that systemhood is a medical disorder, and that plurality is a symptom of the dissociative disorders that cause them, not something on their own (which is what we believe)
traumascum - taken from truscum, meaning "true scum", used by/for those who are transmedicalists
polymind - this post is an incredible explanation for the theft behind polymind and what it is under the definition of "plurality"

what's the difference between alterhuman, therian, -kin (kinning?) and non-human?
we've seen the terms a lot and tried looking it up, but we can't really figure out what separates them. we see different definitions everywhere, so we figure we might as well ask you c:

a nonhuman is, simply put, someone who doesn't identify with humanity at all. while alterhumanity as a whole includes those who identify as human partially, nonhuman does not!!

As a mixed-race individual, I genuinely wish for others to stop using the term 'mutt' to refer to themselves if they are mono-race.
For those who may not know, 'Mutt' may refer to a dog that is mixed-breed and/or of unknown ancestry, typically seen as inferior to 'Purebred', but it has also historically been used as a derogatory slur against mixed-race individuals by using the same exact definition as a means of dehumanizing them.
If you identify in general as a certain dog breed, you can use alternative terms such as a canine, a hound, canidae, or possibly create a personal term for yourself.
But, if you need alternatives for mixed-breed dogs, you can use terms such as combo canine, a patchwork pup, or [Breed]-Mix ( Shepherd-Mix, Husky-Mix, Etc ). Just anything but a slur that's still actively used today.
I've tried to explain this before to someone who was fully white, and they still felt entitled to using it because of their trauma — which had absolutely nothing to do with using 'Mutt' — and that if they really wanted to be racist, they would just say the n-slur...
I also want to add that mixed-race individuals are absolutely well within their rights to reclaim the slur in the end, and no one should have a say in how they reclaim it, whether they make it a part of their identity or use it in another way.
Again, sorry for the yap session, but it has increasingly become a problem within the Alter-human and System communities, and it frustrates me when no one listens and is insanely stubborn.
while we were never called mutt enough for it to do any damage (to our knowledge), we have been called it before for being mixed with japanese (alongside some HORRIBLE jokes that did affect us). i don't have anything else to add, but non-mixed dogfolks, please be mindful!!!

hellohello!! i plan on making a carrd with this info, so i'll GLADLY share some summaries with you!! i'll do the 5 sub-categories i've seen the most, with some subtypes of them as examples!! it's under the cut ^w^
Firstly, I'll explain what alterhumanity is. Alterhumanity, and identifying as alterhuman, is someone who identifies as not fully human. They can identify as not human at all, mostly human, or anywhere in between! Two common causes for this are neurodivergence and being/having alterhuman alters. These causes apply to all forms of alterhumanity aswell.
Therian
A therian, or someone part of theriothropy, is a person who identifies as a non-human earthen animal in some way, shape, or form. For example, a cat therian would be someone whose identity involves them being a cat. Therians can have a human side outside of their theriotype (the animal that's part of their identity), but they don't have to. It also doesn't have to be a huge part of their identity, but it absolutely can be!
Fictherian is a subtype of theriothropy. A fictherian is a therian whose alterhuman identity is a fictional animal or creature! For example, someone who is a Sylveon therian would be a fictherian.
Otherkin
An otherkin is a person whose alterhuman identity isn't an animal. This can also be used as an umbrella term for alterhumanity!
Otherkins have quite a few subtypes. Here are three that I've seen the most:
Conceptkin ; An alterhuman whose alterhumanity's origin is the concept of something, such as the concept of love. (I believe this can be called either Lovekin or Loveconceptkin, I've seen both.)
Objectkin ; An alterhuman whose alterhumanity's origin is an object. For example, an objectkin could be a cardkin; an alterhumanity that's originated from any type of card, such as playing cards. This also has its own subtypes, such as plantkin and foodkin!
Gamekin ; An alterhuman whose alterhumanity's origin is a video game. For example, a gamekin's source could be OMORI. (I believe this can be called either OMORIkin or OMORIgamekin, since OMORI is also a character's name in the game.)
-hearted
This can refer to animalhearted (or animal-hearted), or general otherhearted (or other-hearted).
-hearted is an alterhumanity identity where one is human (typically more than half), but has the heart of, aka a strong connection as, an alterhuman. For example, MOD SNOW is cathearted. She presents human, but has the heart of a cat, and thus, feels deeply connected to cats.
Other-hearted follows the same logic as otherkin.
-link
A -linked alterhuman is an alterhuman who has a voluntary connection to something. It may not be a chosen connection at first, but can develop into a link someone chooses to keep. For example, a wolflink would be someone who willingly connects their identity to wolves. (You do not have to use this label if your alterhumanity is chosen.)
Otherlinked follows the same logic as otherkin.
Polykin
A polykin is someone who has multiple different alterhuman identities. For example, MOD ARCTIC's alterhumanity involves being a stoat and a skeletal monster. This can also be attached to any other type of alterhumanity, such as polytherian and polylink.

honestly having fictional species alterhumans in our system is funny as hell to me when it comes to going through doors in particular. wdym ur ducking. we dont have horns. WHY ARE YOU GOING THROUGH THE DOOR SIDEWAYS WE DONT HAVE HORNS. (/sil obv we love our trolls)

LOL that happens to us too!!! when i first formed, i kept expecting to hit my head on doorframes XD not quite the same, but i wasn't used to being so SHORT. we also have other alters who did or do the same though, because of horns or long ears :3
hello!!! im so relieved to find an anti-endo alterhuman space and i wanted to share another!
in the uk theres an event called pups in the park! its run by a group of therians and theyve had 2 successful events so far! its a huuuuge gathering of alterhumans, kemonomimis, furries etc in a park! i went to the second event in October and it was one of the best events ive ever been to. folks in gear, full suits, doing quads, trading crafts and all sorts!!
it a 13+ event and i believe its under 16s that need to be accompanied by an adult. they have an insta, tiktok, and discord! their discord info section clearly states that they dont allow endos but are perfectly comfortable with systems and the server has the pk and tupper bots!!
