So yeah here's an info dump of the au + designs first.. (first one is from 2025, the second one is from 2026..)
So this au comes from.. okay, basically it's because Philza decides to bury his son's body properly after the November 16th explosion by him. Because canonically, the dudes corpse was left alone. Fully.
In the au, Phil was conceived by an avian raven boss monster, and a normal human father, who have since passed since the war between humans and monsters. So he can go back and forth in the barrier.. Monster-Human Hybrids are rare, but not impossible.
Phil was made as a half-human, half-boss monster hybrid, surprisingly, his wings came in as a young child, and later, he would see the death of his parents during the war. And was later taken in by the dreemurrs, he would befriend Asgore and Toriel as a young lad, and later would be the one that would go in and out of the barrier, bringing items, and letters to the king and queen.. however, the deaths of Asriel and Chara the human was spread to him.
He tried his damnedest to tell Asgore that it was a bad idea with his plan of murdering children.. for the freedom of the barrier, which, he gets that, but it shouldn't have resulted in the children's deaths.. leaving his and Asgore's friendship to be really strained, and he leaves the underground for a while, just as how Toriel leaves the man behind, before he meets the goddess of death herself, with that, produced a child.
Wilbur was born as a half-human, half-boss monster as well, it also resulted in him being a young demigod, of sorts. Through more musical abilities.. which, was never discovered.. his soul, as its trait developed, became perseverance, it fits him, more than he realized.
Unfortunately, Phil was not a good father, neglecting his child and leaving him for weeks or months, this leads Wilbur to grow up resenting him, and wanting his approval.
A lot.
He ends up leaving for his own travels, too, ends up making L'manberg, getting exiled after the revolution, and then he-
He lets his father kill himself in his arms, trapping him in limbo. For good.
His father, out of pure guilt and shame, flies away to Mount Ebott, begging Asgore to let his bury his child somewhere safe, he would agree, and thus, leading him to be buried in the king's throne room.. a small grave would be placed there, for Wilbur.
No one knows in the smp where his body went, Phil refuses to tell them, and only tells his brother in arms, Technoblade, another boss monster, proclaimed 'Blood God' that he befriended in his youth. He doesn't have the heart to tell Tommy or the others..
Unlike in canon, where he was there for only 13 and a half years in limbo, 10 actual years passed in the overworld, while Wilbur's stay lasted for 300 years, leading to the former to think about what he's done.. Phil stops visiting his grave around five years after his death, which, Asgore took care of his grave.
10 years later, Ghostbur would be slain as Tommy and Tubbo try their plan to kill Dream, leading to the ritual of revival to happen, because of the fact his body had been buried, the skin and every flesh of his had rotted away, leaving a pack of bones in its place, it thought it was his skin, leading to his bones being stitched together, as well as his soul becoming more.. grotesque.
The old soul he had was stitched on a new, blank boss monster soul... It looks.. horrifying.
He digs himself out as Wilbur wakes up underground, escaping the castle, and ends up riding the ferryman's boat, as he leaves the boat, he passes out, in the snow.
Out comes the great Papyrus! He goes to find the other newly revived skeleton, and brings him to their cabin, which, leads to Wilbur's awakening, and to meeting the brothers, Sans and Papyrus, which leads to them becoming friends.. and then..
He becomes brothers in arms with Papyrus and Sans a few years before Frisk falls down, and chooses a name for himself to match with their font-like names.. Callisto.
He ends up being freed from the underground later on, and..
Quackity finds out he's alive, and is the first person he reunites with from the smp.
