Wasted all that time on Phu’s fucking brothers when we could have been seeing Ping with HIS TAIL!!! Priorities people!!!!

We also got the reveal of how they communicate underwater. I figured it was either some form of sign language or telepathy that just only worked in their mer forms.

That’s really sad about Ping’s mother hating merfolk and now his dad is dead so he’s left with the parent that essentially hates half of him. I’d stay at my dorm too bro.

Now the chief is up to something and there’s only 3 eps left and I cannot stress enough how pressed I am that we do not have time for all of this!!!!! The secondary couple haven’t even kissed yet and we wasted two episodes on the brothers that popped out of nowhere!!!! I wanna see 2J ruin Dew’s makeup damn it!!!

Finally watched the first ep of Lover Merman and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of 2J in it! I was expecting him to be very much a side character since he’s not one of the merfolk but it was very nice seeing him so prominently. It also makes me hopeful that PhanaPing will be showcased nicely within the storyline because 2J and Dew are sailing their ship like absolute captains!!

I loved that they made the tails blend seamlessly with their bodies. The underwater shots looked really cool and it’s very clear that the people behind this show are very dedicated. It’s taken years to make this show happen and I’m so happy it’s finally here!!

It seems as though Phana knows that Nava is a merman so I’m very intrigued about that already. Nava’s got one dude in love with him and one dude in th process of falling in love with him so that’s gonna be a triangle of pain. Is the dude with the merman scale on his wall also a merman? Or just another person privy to the merfolk like Phana?

Also!! The actor playing Nava reminds me of both Apo and Barcode, like he could play a missing Kittisawat brother because he looks like a bridge between the two of them. (I know I know, everything always comes back to KP for me but I can’t help it!)

Anyway, I’ll catch up on the rest of the shows later. Sleep now.

If there’s a sex scene between these two that just popped up out of nowhere BEFORE there’s one between Phana and Ping, I’m gonna be so fucking irritated. I cannot stress enough that we do not have time for this!!! There aren’t many eps left, we still have to figure out who’s hunting the merfolk, the second couple are still dancing around each other, third wheel bestie is about to his heart broken, but yeah sure let’s throw another couple into the mix that we don’t have time to get invested in. That’s a great plan. Did all the budget go into the tails and none left for common sense writing decisions????

Also! There were a lot of shots of what looked to be a full fucking moon and not one merfolk went in the water for their mer-nstrual cycle toxin release! Why show the full moon like three or four times if nobody was on their merperiod????

Also also!! Is Ping the mystery mer they’re going after in the next ep??? I wanna see Ping in a tail damn it!!! He’s stupidly adorable and somebody was wearing a pink tail in that one video but I couldn’t tell who it was.

Good to have confirmation that all the fucking budget went into the tails and the merfolk swimming lessons so that none was left for the writers’ room. Because what the fuck????

Who killed Chief man Chan? Also, if Chief man Chan’s father was still alive, why isn’t he Chief man??? Is this a Korn-Kinn type of situation? The mer-fia?

Also also, why the fuck is Nava just taking Phrapai at his word that Phurich was disgusted by seeing their true forms??? I’m supposed to believe that Nava wouldn’t confront him about that??

Also3! Waited 7 fucking episodes for Phana and Ping to get their shit together (I’m still salty about the useless fucking brother storyline taking up valuable screen time that could have been used for the actual secondary pairing of the show) and when they finally do, half of that screen time is taken up excusing Ping’s shitty mom for being a shitty mom?? I’m quite accustomed to the shitty parents in Thai dramas never getting their just comeuppance and I was prepared for that but having that happen at the expense of a couple that has barely had any screen time or plot/relationship development just pisses me off even more!!!

Also4! So mernstrual toxins are toxic to humans?? And mernstrual toxins can just be weaponized at will???? Can I please trade my period for a mernstrual cycle? At least theirs seems to have some uses that mine doesn’t.

Also5! Is Nava about to fucking stab himself??? Please tell me somebody’s gonna come in right before he does that like “hey stupid, we can just do a blood transfusion. Don’t be so fucking dramatic.”

Sigh. At least the tails are pretty.
