I'm usually all about the dragonlike Pokemon being given the Dragon typing, and having Rayquaza have the secondary Flying type makes sense given how she forms a trio with Groudon (land) and Kyogre (sea). But...why couldn't she just be one or the other? Then she could go on my pure Flying team or my pure Dragon team. As it, I'm stuck between three Dragon/Flying types I really like (Noivern and Altaria are the others). One can go to the mixed Dragon team (Altaria since her mega form changes to Dragon/Fairy) and the other can go to the mixed Flying team (Noivern or Rayquaza), but then I have nowhere to put the third! Having Altaria on the mixed Fairy team is tempting, but mega forms are temporary and require a recharge afterward. They should have just made Rayquaza a pure Flying type and then Gyarados wouldn't be alone as a dragonlike serpent who never gets to be a dragon. Or hell, since Rayquaza has a mega form, she could be pure Flying type normally but then be given a secondary Dragon typing in the mega stage, like Mega Charizard X. But noooo. Seriously, there are so few pure Dragon types and even less pure Flying types why couldn't they just have done this? For me?
