tlb musical drabble ideas that would personally make me sob happy tears
- michael is feeling grumpy and depressed because he misses the sunlight (girl me too, i need vitamin d or else i’m a cranky gal) and david comforts him as best as he can… he’s not the best at it obviously because he’s biased as hell.
- arthritic david. you’re telling me that him and the boys don’t have chronic pain? they might be immortal, but they’re not indestructible and void of pain. y’all do with this what you will. #backrubcircle.
- 5 times david celebrates his friends birthdays (marko, dwayne, paul, star, michael… maybe sam or lucy if you’re feeling EXTRA sappy.) + 1 time they celebrate his.
- david and michael going through a box of michael’s old childhood photos, toys, and arts & crafts at the emerson house. david gets emotional because the whole thing makes him feel human again.
I know I'm chomping on extremely obvious ragebait as I write this post, but this screenshot I found on Reddit is deeply funny to me:
Again, given the account's username and previous Tweets, I'm looking at a generic "woke left BAD!!!!" rabble-rouser. I know, I knoooow. Yet... even the attempt at getting a rise out of people falls apart when you consider exactly what show we're dealing with on the left side of the screen.
EEnE is the type of show that should make conservatives blush. Heck, it already did; I recall minor moral panics from parents who watched one (1) episode with their children and immediately became concerned about those kids replicating relevant behaviors. (This is because, as we all know, kids have no sense of morality, ability to distinguish fiction from reality, or interiority. Duh.) And the show was already over for a while by that point!
The entire zeitgeist is flagrantly anti-authority. Parents are absent. The one visible authority figure is an abuser; his behavior is never justified in outlandish "always listen to your elders" ways. The cul-de-sac represents a sort of anarchist utopia, where rules are meant to be broken, and a true leader isn't necessary for everyone to enjoy some sort of prosperity. Every character is one scam away from full-blown homoromanticism. Eddy dresses in drag often and enjoys a consistent relationship to femininity. Sarah has a gay-coded best friend and a positive mentor/mentee relationship with an older girl (pundits hurl at the idea of two girls being friends). The power of friendship always conquers all.
If Eddy could sell pronouns, he would.
can you guys give me songs that remind you of klance i’m trying to see something
new hsr trailer is fascinating. asat pramad is so compelling, i think his origin as an ordinary person who tried to use elation to cope with the strife in the world is really interesting because that kind of mindset is sorta doomed from the start. he misunderstood elation, but he loved it dearly and that's what cost him it all.
what i find really intriguing though is that despite it all he still wanted to play the role of a father. he was completely cynical and yet several times in his life as a lord ravager he chose to watch over a child. of course, he was an awful father and manipulated both graphia and himeko for the sake of entertainment and destruction.. but still. he fixated on them. he wasted his time caring for them in a weird, abusive, fucked up little way.
he's said to have a pattern of "playing the long game" and i wonder if that's because he still has a love for humanity deep down, or just an interest in their behavior in the face of strife. maybe that's his form of elation.
