are there any "proto" versions to fujimi? what was she like in the early stages of being fleshed out?

hrm hrm hrmmmmm

since she’s pretty fresh outta the oven (2 months vs madora’s like 5 years) it’s hard to say but.....

originally she and her sister were much more closely linked with the Great Serpents of Ashina! Right now they’re more like....... cosmically linked? but their coloration is more due to Benzaiten (who is associated with white snakes) with the more literal association coming later when those who filled the role of Vessel began being sacrificed to the Great Serpents.

But in their original incarnation, Fujimi and Kikyo were literally the serpents (or at least facets of them). Fujimi wanted to become human, and so a kind Bodhisattva lent her physical form to her (ala Kyousougiga and Lady Koto) although she and her sister were cursed to be born into the family that provided human sacrifices to the Serpents in a twist of irony.

But...... mm. I originally went that way because Fuji = wisteria = wisteria maiden but...... it didn’t quite pan out the way I wanted especially with all the other facets of her and Sekiro’s lore i wanted to explore so i scrapped it.

am I the only person who was annoyed by that haleb scene in the finale? Like dont get me wrong i love haleb as much as the next guy, but it's so out of character for both of them. Especially hanna though because her THING is that she's loyal and it's literally just shipping bullcrap to appease the fans (because they knew everyone was going to throw a big tantrum that everyone broke up with their high school partners and moved on :( like real people :( )
