okay so i think you're right that a GEORGE would come with familiarity, and the little ficlet i wrote is near the start of their story. i DO have it all thought out in my head though and i absolutely see them getting there

somehow it comes up in one of their private sessions, and alex feels HORRIBLE. gabby said that George might make a joke like "as long as I can pay my mobile bill haha" and Alex WOULDN'T LAUGH, and i've been sad about it ever since. because like it was all fun and games when he thought George was just a random city wanker who wasn't missing the money, but George is a real person to him now! and Alex is enabling this!

Alex, i think, dropped out of school when his mum went to prison to help raise his siblings, and got into streaming as an easy way to make money. he's good at it, but hates having to be on all the time, hates having to put on a front, and he figures it's too late for him to get a job doing something respectable. he moved away from home to get away from it all, so now he's ALSO just totally isolated and alone with zero support system. he's basically only keeping it together because someone has to feed Horsey. and now he's even more miserable because he's suddenly thinking that he's a terrible person for preying on people like George!

so he starts kicking George off his streams (this is where i think a GEORGE!! would come in btw when he's soooo annoyed that George keeps trying to rejoin, sorry i made it sad), and George is like. of course he doesn't like me anymore, he only liked me for my money. he knew that already, that was the whole premise, so he doesn't know why it hurts to think about

eventually george is like, i Have to get my shit together. he's barely hanging on, and for what? even Alex is disgusted with him. so he goes cold turkey and starts rebuilding things slowly but surely. maybe tries to date a little, has a couple hookups that go SO badly.

but this is when Alex like, can't stop thinking about George and wondering how he's doing!! he just dropped off the face of the planet, which was what Alex said wanted! but what Alex actually needs is to know that George is okay

so he tracks down George using all of the true government information he used to sign up to the site, and he sees George's dorky little bio on his dad's company's website, and he just shows up at his flat one day!! George in real life is even hotter than he was online, so Alex has no choice but to kiss him right there and finally ask George out on a real date. he'll pick up the bill, he jokes, feeling sooooo nervous because surely George hates him!

but GEORGE of course is like. melting on his doorstep. and he says yes :) btw the first time they have sex irl, George comes SO fast, Alex barely has to do anything at all, just like barely gets a hand on him and he thinks Alex will make fun of him for it, but instead he DOESN'T, alex is INTO IT, and it becomes a new sex game for them to see how fast Alex can get George to come and with how little stimulation
