with a loud gasp, caroline opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling. she was pretty sure the ceiling of the room she was staying at the hospital was white, not beige. she blinked a few times in utter confusion and heard a shuffle near her, making her sit up and her head snap to the direction of the sound and her eyes widen in a mix of shock and fear. ‘elena...?’ caroline whispered, her brows furrowed in confusion. the second her best friend’s name fell from lips, the blonde realized it wasn’t her. the brunette had curly hair and dressed in a way that elena never would. it was the same woman who had showed up in her hospital room and suffocated her... to death. the realization of what had happened the night - or was it longer than that? - before hit her and caroline’s heart picked up a fast pace and she slid her figure on the floor until her back was pressed against a wall. ‘w-what did you do to me?!’ she shouted, her breathing ragged and her eyes widened in fear.

         she’s been avoiding him for over a week   .   a week too long for jason dilaurentis   &   he hates being ignored without a proper explanation   .   katherine just up and never speaking to him again   ,   ignoring his texts   ,   calls  ,   running in the other direction when he’s around definitely raised red flags   .   she never ignored him   .   more like she enjoyed crawling under his skin   ,   leaving her marks all over   &   now she was nowhere to be seen   ?   it was too much of a sudden shift   . 

        after being dodged so often by the elusive brunette   ,   he took a different approach   .   he remembers katherine’s parents are rarely home   &   her bedroom window is rarely ever locked   (   &   he’s very familiar with her bedroom window   )   .   shutting the window sill behind him   ,   he has no choice but to wait   .   music’s his best friend besides whatever drug he could get ahold of that week   &   of course   ,   katherine   .   one ear free from completely deafening his hearing for when she were to walk in her own room   .   she wouldn’t be EXPECTING it   &   that’s what he was going for   .   

        after the twelfth song played on his ipod   ,   nearly growing bored with waiting   ,   there she is   .   taking an earbud out   ,   he waits for her to notice him   .   this time she can’t run   .
