That is why we’re not waiting to play by the rules.” She waves Foggy in, “You can think up a defense while I dig up this tape...”

"HBC’s secretary is scared of me, and this place has a fully stocked break room. Why the hell else would I be here so much?" this clearly had nothing to do with Hogarth being one of her biggest return clients, not even a little bit.

Unfortunately for Jessica, said return client didn’t have any cases for her to grab onto as of late, so the next best thing was harassing any other lawyer that kept their doors open and their assistants off guard. She skims the surface of Foggy’s desk, working to pinpoint any useful keywords like- “Superheroes,” her hand presses to the file, “so much more interesting than subpoenas,”

This guy certainly looked out of place in Harlem’s paradise. Pudgy, white, and in a (relatively) cheap business suit. Out of place people were either one of two things: a tourist, or trouble. This guy didn’t look the type to come visit this place on holiday, so he assumed it was the first one.

Shades wove through the crowd expertly until he stopped right in front of the new comer.

Anyone else, with that sort of attitude, with that sort of response, would have gotten an eyebrow arch, the crossing of her arms. Maybe even a scathingly rough remark on the rest of their state of existence. Yet here and now, the person in question being Foggy Nelson, all Marci does is frown.

“What soured your latte?” She asks, a bit gently, but then.. smirks. “Someone didn’t send back your prom note with the ‘yes’ box ticked off?” She pouts, sharply.
