@only-to-be-free “Now that would have people talking.” Ashe grinned. “Seeing as I’ve denied involvement with you on more than one occasion when asked, dear friend.” Shaking her head, the smile on her face subsided slightly. “But you are correct in that. I’ve got many a suitor sending in proposals and gifts, and many of these men are strangers to me. Still… I should begin to take them more seriously. My council presses me more each week to wed.”

"You wound me, Ashe! Denying your obvious affections..." He shook his head with a laugh. "The proposals never end, do they? Ah, the stories I could tell of some of the offers I've gotten! As for the pressure of councils, I fear I cannot be much help... the Rozarrian council tends to avoid me whenever possible. I'm starting to think they don't like me. I can't imagine why..."

His eyes shone as he thought of all the reasons he had given them not to.

"Ah, Lady Ashe! I see you are still as breathtaking as ever- stunning indeed!' He smirked, raising his brows slightly. "I had not heard you were coming to visit...I am at a disadvantage of not having anything prepared for your time here. I hope you can forgive this shortcoming."

Al-Cid stood, giving her a small bow before pulling out a chair for her. "And how has everything been? Surely Dalmasca flourishes as you do!" He sat, leaning in on his elbows towards her.

What's that? The Queen come to Archades? Excuse him, he will be making an attempt to be as unseen as possible because if she's come for him, the whole world is a brilliant liar and he didn't actually die for a period of time and his brother isn't actually Emperor, and that probably means he found more Mistweed than even he was capable of handling.

"Your majesty," He murmured, voice low, respectful in the mocking sort of manner only an Archadian could achieve. "To what do I owe the honour of your presence?"
